Try taking the hard rive and battery out, and see if it will get to the initial IBM screen, then let me know what happened.

WHICH COURSE WILL BE SUITABLE FOR ME TO STUDY AT DUT WITH MY NSC RESULT

Hello, Siphiwe -

First, Fixya.com is intended as a website for asking and answering questions on how to go about REPAIRING _THINGS_.

Second, I have no idea why you did not choose to seek out an academic adviser at Durban University of Technology and ask your question (and others.)

This is the link to the Durban University of Technology website:
http://www.dut.ac.za/

I suggest you send an email with your questions to this DUT email address:
[email protected]

You can probably also speak with an administrator or teacher at your former secondary school for advice on what course of studies to follow.

Best wishes.

Hp installs but computer wont recognize the printer

Hi!

Welcome to Fixya,

I hope you elaborate more, what you did in installing the printer, so I can advice directly in your problem,

but any, I have some guidelines in troubleshooting a printer and hoping that this can help you in determining the problem.

  • if is connected to USB see if Operating System problem,
  1. if your using XP or Vista and your system cannot recognize it, then OS is not Updated or Modified, I encounter some of XP and Vista OS.
  2. what your going to do is activated your auto update, in the internet, so the Microsoft will automatic update your system. after a multiple updates, your system can now recognize any new drivers.in doing this: in your control panel, double click security center, ON the automatic updates or you can use the link below fo direct download:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/default.aspx

and SP3 updates:

If you need further assistance let me know. Please take a moment to accept and rate my solution accordingly.

Thanks,

Hi vcan i ask you a question on a r40 problem

This could be a battery problem. Remove the battery and start on the power supply only. If this doesn't work, then check the power supply with an ohm meter to see if it's getting the proper output to the machine. If the supply checks good, then I'm afraid that you have a problem component on the motherboard, and will need to have it professionally diagnosed in order to track down the exact problem component.
