Perform the following procedure to enter the simulation mode."#" key Interrupt key "C" key Interrupt key, then, then enter 24 start 7 start, then you can clear the drum count.Press 42, start, 01, start for clearing developer counter, and after clearing all this you have to press 'ca' to exit this mode, rate this and vote for this.

I followed the procedure, but ... How can I know that I am in simulation mode? After entering Main code 24, than Start key I couldn't enter the Sub code 7 (the display shows 24 no matter what key I have pressed).

try # interupt, C ,interupt, then display will become blank you are in simulation and try 20 start 1 in some models you have to enter 20 start 1 start, for clearing drum code then machine will give you 000 and the drum counter will be cleared then 42 start 1 for developer counter clear this is the way for your model so after getting solution please vote for this. and rate this

The copier is programmed in the auditing mode. After entering the proper account number, the display shows 0. In that moment I tried to enter in simulation mode without success. After pressing the key sequence "#" "interupt" "C" "interupt" the display still shows 0. If I enter the main code number followed by pressing the Start key I end in making some copies.
The problem is that I can't enter in simulation mode, the display is not blank.
What should I do to reset the drum counter? The drum warning light is constantly on, and after some time I won't know if I have to change it, or not.

You are not getting properly entered in to the simulation, you have to follow the # * C * , respectively in a faster manner this is the only way how you can resolve it first you find out each key position of the key and press this keys with out so much time delay in between the key. then follow the 20 start 1, and 42 start 1 start, you dont worry the machine will keep working, and after some copies if it stops it will again start after resetting the maintence indication, so you try the same procedure and let me know.

First I wish to thank you for your help. You were right, I was to slow on pressing the key sequence to enter in simulation mode. I managed to reset the drum counter, along with the developer counter.
    Best regards.

Sharp AR-M160 Maintenance light and developer replacement light have come on together. Where do I get developer from?

It's not developer light.
It is drum unit light and maintenance.
You have to replace the Drum, Blade and Developer.
After changing them you have to reset the maintenance, drum, developer counter.
This procedure must be made by a copier tech.

But if you still want only the developer the code is AR-202D

Sharp copier ar-bc320 error code??

the DK message means it is time to replace the black drum unit. the drum unit is called an ARC26DU. open the front cover. remove the toner cartridge/s by lifting the green lever and pulling the toner out. Open the left side door. look at where you just pulled out the toner and there is one screw (facing you) holding each drum in place - loosen the screw and pull the drum unit out towards you....slide in the new drum unit.
to reset drum counter go into SIM mode by pressing the following keys one after the other "P" "*" "C" "*" then 24 and start/copy key then 7 then select the color drum you are replacing and confirm reset. make sure copier restarts afterwards

DO NOT refill these toner cartridges (even if you can find someone to do it) The toner cartridges for these machines have generally had ongoing problems as far as longevity and quality - refilling them will only make it worse.

I am getting a message "maintenacne required code:dk"

DK means the black drum has reached its maintenance life - 50k copies. you need to buy an ARC26DU drum unit. The drum counter will need to be reset after its installed.
here is a starting point : http://electronics.pricegrabber.com/fax-copier-supplies/Sharp-ARC26DU-Developer-Toner-Drum-Cartridges/m12754437.html
Hope that helps.

Direct light can effect the copies. Your unit may also need developer as well. If the developer is low or gone out of the unit, light copies will appear as well.
