Hi, they are made to drain from the dipstick filler. Remove the dipstick and lay the mower to that side. Remove the sparkplug cap first as a safety precaution. Hope this helps, regards Phil.

Is their an oil cap under neath lawn mower that can be used to empty oil?

Good question. Unfortunately is varies. Some mowers have a Plug underneath ( look at motor casing , past the blade). Some have a metal tube or a small plug on the side of the engine very close to where the Engine mounts to the deck.
Some just want you to pour the old oil out the Fill.

Location of oil filter

It's close enough to the drain plug .It's to the right and a little forward of the drain plug when looking under neath the vehicle. It's mounted in a recessed part of the bottom cover so you have to look up for it.

Where is the oil filter?

on most vehicles the oil filter is can shaped and mounted on the engine block, and will be found from under neath of the vehicle to change the oil 1 jack the front of the vehicle and secure it on stands 2 place a collection pan under the vehicle (large enough to hold the vehicles oil capacity) 3 remove the plug on the bottom of the oil pan to allow oil to drain 4 use an oil filter wrench to loosen the oil filter (it will contain oil as well) 5 allow several minutes for oil to drain, the longer the better 6 replace the plug 7 pour some oil into the new filter, and oil the rubber gasket on the new filter 8 replace the filter by hand (do not use filter wrench to tighten) 9 tighten the new filter by hand to one full turn after the gasket touches the engine and no tighter 10 refill from the top of the engine to vehicles oil capacity with recommende weigth of oil note. the engines capacity and the engines capacity with filter differ for the filter will hold oil as well 11 lower the vehicle from jack stands change every 3000 miles when driving in town change every 5000 miles when driving on highway

Location of oil drain plug on a 1999 HD Road King Classic

The solutions are close, so I must assume they are HD Road King answers, just not a 1999 Road King. The drain plug is on the front (facing the forks) left side (clutch) of the oil pan. On the 1999 model the drain plug is a 3/4 inch bolt. After changing the oil, be sure to replace the O-ring. The O-ring is rubber and does not last more than a single oil change. HD charges a dollar for the O-ring, but better to replace it than to end up with your new oil all over the garage floor.

Oil plug

Bottom of oil pan...underneath the bike. Approach the undercarriage from the leftside of the bike, so you will not have to deal with the exhaust pipes. Remember to change your oil filter with every other oil change.
