Question about HP Pavilion a800n (PP163AA) PC Desktop
My problem is a little different. I am able to get to the ready to log on sceen and it stucks at that page and screen shows up for 2-3 sec. and it goes blank and I tried your way and is not working. so within that 2-3 sec i tried to shut down my computer. and when the computer shuts down, my monitor shows a monitor message the monitor goes to sleep mode. So is it Vista problem or Monitor problem..
Start your computer and tap the F8 key as soon as the computer begins to power-up. Keep tapping until you come to the Safe Mode screen. When the screen alerts you to the fact that you have chosen Safe Mode, click OK.
When you get to the desktop go to the control panel and launch System Properties. Go to Hardware and Device manager. Click the arrow next to the Display Adapter. Point at the adapter, right click and chooser Properties. Click the Driver Tab. Roll back the video driver to previous driver.
If indeed you have installed a new driver that is not compatible with your video card, then rolling it back to the original may very well take care of this problem.
