The things it could be: 1. There may be a failure of the switchmode power supply inside or a fuse on the printed circuit board has blown.
2. The ON/OFF button is not making good contact. Again, this would need the cover off and clean any contacts - try to short the contacts. Find a electronic or computer technician to help you with this. Maybe buy another second-hand, working unit, and use the original for spares.

Hp PSC1210 All-In-One not turning on

HP makes a couple of different power cords for the PSC 1210 and their other printers. First make sure you are using the correct power cord (Amperage and voltage). Unplug the power cord (from the wall and the printer and from a power module if you have one). Leave all of the sections unplugged for at least 15 seconds to reset the power module/printer.

Next connect the power cord to the wall outlet and to the power module if present and check if the LED (if present lights up). If it doesn't try another outlet. In either case, check what the outlet voltage/amperage is at the end of the power cord with a multimeter (before you plug it into the printer). If you have a power module, then check the Amperage (it will be a DC current out).

If you are not getting the correct voltage and amperage out or the LED doesn't light (with a known good outlet), try a different power cord/module.
You can order these from HP.

If you have the correct power at the cord, plug the power cord into the printer and attempt to turn it on. (Press and release the power button.) If the printer still doesn't come on, the unit needs service. Contact HP if the printer is under warranty. Decide if it is worth fixing if it is out of warranty.

I hope this helps.

My HP 890C printer just refuses to print.

Your ink system is clogged. There is no way to clean it out as the caustic ink has eaten away the pump.

Totally lost power to HP 7110

Don't Worry the HP printer are deisgned to connect without the surg protector.

Try the steps mentioned bellow

Unplug the power cord from the All-In-One as well as the power outlet when there is still power in the All-In-One. and wait for atleast 1Min
Plug the power cord directly to a wall outlet without surg protector. (if possible connect it to a different power outlet)
Before connecting the power cord to the All-In-One press and hold the # and no 6 button and then insert the power cord, do not release the keys
until you see a message a reset (if the screen goes blank then release the keys and turn the power on)

If This does not work in the power cord you will see a rectangle box like thing thats a apdptor, after plugging it to the power oulet for a couple of minitues, check and see if you can feel any heat in the adaptor if yes then the adaptor is good the power cord may be bad, so accordingly replce the power cord or adaptor:

Good Luck

Printer takes a long time to start

Hi! Sorry to hear of this issue! There are a few steps you can do to diagnose the issue. If these steps do not work, let me know and I can suggest other steps or which part you may need to order. I can be emailed directly at: bosscomputers@comcast.net or http://bosscomputers.org Follow the steps below to ensure power is properly supplied to the printer: Check the power module part number against the part number listed in the User?s Guide to ensure the proper power adapter is being used. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet. Disconnect the printer data cable from the printer. Disconnect the power cord from the printer, wait thirty seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the printer. Reconnect the power cord directly into a working wall outlet. If the power cord was plugged into a surge protector or power strip, plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet instead. If the printer still will not turn on, plug the printer into a wall outlet in another room. If the printer turn on when connected to an electrical outlet in another room, there is a problem with the power in the original room. If there is still no power to the printer, then the power cord or printer may be defective. Try the power cord on another HP Deskjet or Photosmart printer to see if the power cord is functioning. If the power cord does not work on the other printer, it is defective. Replace the power cord. If the power cord works on the other printer, then this printer is defective. Service your printer. If another printer is not available to test with, carefully inspect the power cord for damage. Inspect the power cord for visible damage. If the power cord is damaged, replace the power cord first. If this does not resolve the issue, or if the power cord looks fine, then service your printer. Again, if these steps do not work for you and the issue is still present, then the printer will need a specific part - and I can tell you how to order, install, etc, so that you can do the repairs yourself! =) Just email me at bosscomputers@comcast.net Please rate my help for you too, so that I can track your progress as well as helps me get a better rating =) I really appreciate that, as well as hopefully being able to get your issue resolved/fixed!! ~Darrin~
