My samsung 40# shut off and won't come back on model# LN40B500P3FXZA please help

set has a shutdown or failsafe circuit:

I see so many here with no sound/nopicture issues:

ISSUES:

1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.
2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signsof damage you can see---burnt parts etc.
3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down theproblem.
4. Be safe and if you do not know what you are doing don't open the set.

Answers to issues:

1. RE:fuses---if a blown fuse is found get a good replacement(not the genericones like Radio Shack). Many fuses are special even aside from amperage--Don'tput a higher rated amperage fuse in the set for any reason.

2. RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses astandby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined andsome not.

Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on thepower/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--Iattach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flatand have no brown material coming out on top or bottom.

What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.

3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have tobuy and try a board to see if it fixes it or not.

4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over.

Not likely it is the back light if you can eventually get it to come up.

How do i get the bolt off of water pump that is behind the power steering pulley?

Pretty sure you need to remove PS pump and set it aside(don't disconnect lines). Also the pump's bracket may be in the way. Often there are holes in the PS pulley. Can you get to bolt that way? If I remember, though, you may need to set aside the PS pump.

A friend gave me her HP psc 2210 AIO. She did not have the owner's manual. I have it hooked up. It turns on, but won't print. I need the operating instructions to get it going. I have a newsletter...

Hi Peggy,

Have you already installed the printer driver to your computer? This is one of the first things you should do when installing the printer aside from hooking it up to your PC. If you don't have the driver don't worry because you may download it by clicking on this link. Then follow the steps below:

1. Select your operating system (ex. Windows XP) then hit on Next.

2. Afterwards select Driver Product Installation Software.

3. Then hit on Download.

4. Once driver is downloaded, install it .

5. Lastly, restart your computer.

For your instruction manual download it from here.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

When I try to resize my partion it own use up any unallcoted memory there is but when i do it on the other drive it uses that unallcoted space any help will be great thanks in advance

I am not 100% sure what you are asking, but I know that the main boot drive of Windows 7 needs a little set aside that the OS uses, so you cannot access the entire amount of allocated drive space.

If this is not what you are asking, can you please clarify?

Many thanks

How can I replace a tweeter for a 10 year old Cambridge Soundworks tower 2 speaker?

Its pretty simple actually.
If you already have the same size new tweeter. You take off of course the large felt cover so speakers are exposed on front. Just like your picture is in this post. Then you should see some screws, most likely it is going to be Phillips. Then unscrew all the screws, the whole front should slide out with of course speakers still attached, don't pull out to fast or far, to make sure the internal wires are long enough to take whole front out and set aside speaker box, the on back of speaker should be two wires going to it, maybe three if is tapped in conjunction with a ground. Anyway on back of speaker unplug the wire from speaker and then, take out screws which is normally on back of speaker, pull speaker out, put new one in and repeat steps in reverse order. Hope this helps. Mike

My ram is beeping how can i fix them

if 1 beep its - video card
if 2 to 3 beeps - RAM
if it beeps continuously - it the processor

REMEDY / SOLUTION :
1. (VIDEO CARD)- remove the video card clean it up... you can use eraser...make sure to remove the dust/lint .....

2. (RAM)- If the problem is the ram ... its the same.. remove the ram clean it..the same as you clean the video card...but if you put back the ram to the slot...make it sure to lock it up and tighten up..just monitor it that its not loosen...

3. (PROCESSOR) - remove the processor ... clean the white one i mean the paste
(thermal paste) then if you don't have that paste try to ask the hardware im sure they have one and grab it... don't leave the processor if it is not attach in the slot make sure to have that paste first it has time limit in exposing the processor it may cause a problem if the processor wont put back int the slot.. <the main solution is change the thermal paste then lock it up tightly.. the most important thing is just...lock it up so tight..>

that all...

this is only my suggestions ....

Thanks for rating

Now that you have the 2 screw in and not tight place the blade like this You need to hold the blade with one hand and with your Philips screw driver tap the cutter blade back lightly until the cutter teeth are 2/32 back from the comb blade. askmanny_14.jpg
