Tv goes off by itself every few minutes

You have bad solder grounds in your TV. There will also be some bad capacitors. Look for capacitors in the range of 160 volts to 250 volts at 1Mf to 2.2, 3.3, or 4.7Mfs that are bad now. Another common capacitor that goes down are the 25 volt or 35 volt 100Mf ones. The next area would be your vertical IC , it will need resoldered. This is true any most cases of any brand. The capacitors next to the vertical IC will need checked and replaced. A bad cap here will heat the vertical IC and separate the pins from the board. Last and be sure to do this. Check the small board connected to the picture tube. By now this board (CRT) will have many bad grounds. Heat is the enemy of any television. Hope I could clue you in to a repair. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

Tv on appears black screen with a bright horizonal line in the middle sometimes with voice

You will have to resolder the vertical IC and in most cases replace any capacitor that is near and next to the vertical IC. There may be three capacitors that will be replaced, And while you are in the process of reworking the board inspect for any and all grounds that may need resoldered. You will have to look very close to find these. And you should search the deflection side of the board for two capacitors that have a 160 volt to 250 volts at 1MF, or 2.2 mf or 4.7Mf. By now these little guys are weak and need replaced. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

Volume goes up by its self

There are basically tho type of IC in the TV

Video IC and Sound IC or you can say two section.

since your voice section is affected so there are two possible reasons for that the main sound IC will be faulty

the amplifier IC connected to it will be faulty. So please check with repair person located near your locality and never try to open the TV at home at it contain some parts which will give strong electric shock

My tv has a straight lin acros the middle of the scteen what should i do

The most likely problem is bad solder connections to the vertical output integrated circuit. This device gets hot under normal operation, and the heating can eventually cause the connections to go bad. This can cause a complete collapse of the picture like you have, or a shrinking or bouncing picture. Often just repairing the connections solves the problems, although the IC itself does also go bad and needs replacement.

If you know someone with electronic soldering skills, you might be able to try fixing this yourself. The IC is mounted on a metal heat sink in roughly the center of the circuit board. There will be a number on the IC like LA7847 or LA7848. I don't remember exactly what IC this model uses. You will probably see the solder connections are cracked, and resoldering them may be all that's needed to restore the picture.

If you don't feel up to trying this yourself, it's not a difficult repair for a professional technician, but labor cost may make it uneconomical for a small set. See if you can get an estimate for the repair from a local service shop, then decide whether to repair or replace the TV.

Hi I accidentaly actiivate the child control on my tv and turned it off, I don't have the original remote any longer and I can not turn on my tv. Please help Mike

Concerning the is extremely likely that you have a corrupt EEPROM. A very common problem with this TV.The correct EEPROM (IC location IC 002) is dependent on which microprocessor (IC location IC001) and which stereo decoder (IC location IC 1001) are present on the board being repaired. Take this info to a TV tech and they will find the correct EEPROM to replace. Your TV will come back to life. If not, give me the numbers of ICs IC001 and IC1001. I will forward the correct EEPROM part #. Then the tech will repair your TV. Thanks for asking and show all hands of support!

Horizontal/vertical hold is off, picture is moving fom left to right Mitsubishi big screen vs-60607

You better take this fellow to a doctor. You have a stamp size IC with about 250 pins that is bad. Only a tech can replace this or reinstall a remanufactured board into this TV. You may ask the tech to use a freeze spray to find this IC first and then he wil decide how to operate!l

It needs repaired. I can think of many different possibilities causing the problem: 1. Shorted video luminance driver transistor. Should be under $200 total repair if you take set in. 2. Shorted green kine bias transistor. $200 3. Failed jungle ic. $250 4. Shorted green gun in the picture tube. More than you paid for tv set... Rca picture tubes commonly run 25% more than the tv set did new!!!!!!!
