Hello, I have an Amana Ale643brw electric dryer. Everything functions properly except one thing. When I dry my clothes on the Automatic/Regular cycle the dryer will not shut off. The clothes will be dry...

You mean ALE643RBW... drew blanks when I first looked and gave up. So... there's no moister sensor for this model. It runs the cycle by the start point of the timer. Its labled "more" dry or "less" dry in some fashion which merely changes the length of the cycle. Simple and dependable but doesn't meet todays "green" requirements.
Most likely it is the timer which lists at ~$170US from Sears. Your dryer has gotta have some years on it so not sure what else it may need in the near future. If you can do repairs yourself, $80 refurb timer on Ebay Otherwise to pay labor and markup... better off with new.

Amana ALE643RBW...Wire to the high limit thermal fuse melted and broke into...what gauge of wire do I use to replace it?

Use the same size or the next size up. Assuming you solved the problem as to why it melted in the first place.

Amana electric dryer ALE643RBW drum wont turn and is very dificult to move by hand

it could be the rear drum bearing(if equipped),the rollers that support the drum have dried up and won't turn, bad drum glides(if equipped) or the motors bearings could be tightening up from lack of oil in the bearings, you need to remove the top and front covers to inspect for all these issues

Amana dryer not advancing on auto

Make sure the vent from the dryer to the outside is clean.
Reduced air flow can cause your symptom.

You can remove the vent hose from the dryer and operate the dryer in the automatic cycle.'
If the timer advances you know the vent needs cleaning.
Clean the lint filter housing also.
A flashlight helps to see all the way down the housing.

I have an Amana (M# ALE643RBW), when started the dryer squeaks for the first 10 minutes of the cycle, then slows to a squeak every 7 minutes... why? Maybe a bit of lube?

I have the same problem. While I have not fixed it yet, I assume it is a drum roller. Most dryers have two 4 to 5 inch diameter drum rollers which hold up the dryer barrel in the back. These drum rollers are wheels which have rubber on the outside where they touch the drum and a metal hole in their middle. They turn on a metal rod which goes through their middle. As the inside of the wheel turns on the rod, the metal gets eaten away and they squeak. Replacing one or both drum rollers should fix the problem.

Our amana gas dryer. runs for about 20 mins and shuts off. try to resart and there is busing noisefrom the controls on top. if sets for 45mins. it will start again. until it gets hot. and then wont work.

The problem is in the gas valve coils. They sit on the top of the gas valves. When these coils are energized open the gas valves and allowing the gas to burn. If one or more coil malfunctions, the dryer shuts off. It is usually difficult to properly test the coils and replacement is the best solution.

I have an Amana ALE643RBW drum needs manual assistance to tumble

If you remove the back panel you will be able see the drum rollers. There's a good chance they may be worn out. As long as you are replacing the rollers I would suggest replacing the belt at the same time.
Typically when the rollers wear out, the drum drops ever so slightly and the drum wears on the front and rear drum to cabinet seals. The added drag can cause a slow drum and squealing noises.
Good luck, let me know if there is anything further you need.
