Question about HP OfficeJet 7410 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

HP 7410 All In One - Won't fully start

The HP All-In-One printer would do nothing except display the logo when plugged in. For hours or days. Discovered that the solution is to unplug the wireless card. What can be done to fix the wireless card? Has it gone bad or is there a firmware upgrade that can be applied. I have talked to 4 technicians at HP who do not seem to have any information on the problem nor the solution.

Any thoughts?

HP 7410 will not boot. It powers up and the HP logo screen flashe

This was solved really well on this blog. It is some problem with the wifi board. If you disconnect it (no so hard and well explained on the blog) you will have network printing over a cable but no wireless.

HP 7410 will not boot. It powers up and the HP logo appears on the screen with a progress bar. The display then scrambles and the power light flashes green. No buttons work or do anything.

connect the printer directly to the wall socket for the power supply if it is connected thrugh surge protector.
perform a reset :

unplug the power cable .
press and hold # and 6 key on the printer..
plug in the cable wait for 20 secs then release the buttons..
after this the printer will re-initialize .. this may take few mins..

and chek after that

Printer stopped working.

Printers are cheap and not worth fixing it sounds like you have a common problem involving the internal CPU in the printer to have it repaired it would cost twice as much as to buy a new on

Hello.
I'm afraid this one is a critical issue. If your product is in warranty or out of warranty , it would be better to upgrade to a newer model as this is a serious flaw in the printer.

all the best.

Try this: it's worked for nearly everone who's tried it. Unfortunantly, you lose your wireless capabilities, but at leat you're not left with a $500 paper weight:

(It's interesting that with the exception of the original post, this issue is suddendly appearing on numerous sites. Nearly all of the posts occured during the last two months)

HP 7410 All In One Printer

Hi,
there might be a hardware issue with the LCD however u can try to reset the printer by the following steps .

Perform a semi-full reset on the all-in-one by following the steps below
1
Take out the cartridges from the unit .
2
Make sure the unit is connected to the wall jack directly without any surge protector.
3
Unplug the power cord from the back of the unit ( without turning off the unit ) .
4
Now press the # and 6 key together , while holding these keys down plug in the power cord back into the unit .
5
Do not release the keys after a few seconds u will find te hp logo or bars moving across the screen .wait while the unit turns off.
6
after one minute turn on the prnter . it will go into alligment phase > let it finish .
7
after its done > try to make a copy .

8 Allow the all-in-one to re-initialize. This may take a minute or two.
9 If prompts appear in the all-in-one display to set the front panel language and country settings, perform the steps to set this information
Thanks
