Question about IBM ThinkPad A21m 2628 Notebook
The freezing generally indicates that a memory chip is going out, or the hard drive is beginning to fail. This could also be a software conflict or glitch, so start by doing a system repair with your operating system or recovery disc. You will not lose any data by doing the repair. Also, go to filehippo.com and download CCleaner, run it on both the regular clean and the registry clean. This will remove any unused dlls or file extensions that may be hanging it up. If it's still freezing after doing this, then remove the memory and try one or the other chip for a while to see if it freezes. If it's the hard drive beginning to fail, eventually it will fail completely, then you'll know it was a hard drive issue. I'm leaning towards a software conflict/glitch or memory chip. Let me know how it turns out.
