Try to mover the router close to a window and face the antenna where you are at and see if that helps

Hi! im having a problem on connecting via wi-fi using this router, my iphone3gs is connecting but theres no internet connection. please help me...

The main problem is with the Internet port connection on this router.
Make sure that the internet port is connected to your DSL modem, or Cable modem. The 3rd light from the left on the front panel is the WAN (Internet) light. It should be solid green or blinking.

You should also be able to connect into the router using a web browser.

enter the username and password.
If it has never been configured before: username (admin) / password (leave it blank)

Try running the setup wizard in the web browser.

u have to configure it to connect to the internet once again through ur default gateway and to look for that open a command line in windows and type ipconfig and u should see ur default gateway. then type that in ur browser and VOILA!

Want to connect 2 routers to 1 modem

as far as I know it would not work due to auto configuration of DHCP settings in the router when using cable internet. You may have to manually configure this to get it to work. If you are using dsl, I dont think it will work at all.

If it was to work, this is how I would do it:

Using Cat 5 cabling
Modem -> N Router -> G Router

Be sure to plug modem into the uplink port on N router. Then go from port 1 on N router to uplink on G Router. Set both routers to DHCP setting and see if that works. Im going to try this when I get home. It actually sounds ideal, never thought of it myself.

Hope that works for you!

No connection

looks like a common issue on routers and cable modem, well a little common.

the power comming fromt he modem (information pass) is too much for the internet port on the router to handle that it quits if the surge from the modem comes.

here is what you do:

get a longer ethernet cable to connect your modem and the router, may 10-15 feet ethernet cable, put it in a coil and tie a knot in the middle, just look at the picture below.

once this is done, you may access the router's page again and make sure that the MAC clone feature is enabled and perform a power cycle. power down the modem and the router, power up the modem first, wait for around a minute or until the ONLINE light is steady and then turn the router on. after that try your connection on the router.

The weak signal is due to either physical barriers - walls etc, distance from transmitter (router) or interferance (other netowoks broadcasting) You may be able to improve things by

  1. raising the router up higher
  2. move to a more centeral location in house
  3. changing the supplied antenna for a high gain antenna
  4. placing an "external" antenna on the router EG ensure it physically connects to your router though before buying - check you router manual for the correct connector type. Also some routers donot have detachable antennas
  5. change channel that wireless router operates on
The one that will not connect what OS are you running?

what have you tried so far

Post back and I'll try to assist you further

I.P Adress

your ip is provided by your ISP (internet service provider), if you have two accounts (two modems) then you probably have two ip numbers and if you use one account, even you have ten computers connected to the same modem, will be the same ip but shared.

hope it helps.
