Service Request errors in the range 00010004 - 000101D are related to a carriage movement problem. In some instances like paper jams, the carriage locking tab may be partially pushed in, causing the carriage locking mechanism to put a drag on the carriage or lock the carriage completely. This will cause a carriage error. Make sure the carriage locking tab is pulled to the left. Then turn the printer's power off and release the carriage by pushing down on the cutter blade. Slide the carriage to the left and look for any paper that also may be restricting the carriage from moving freely.

For best buy go the nearest Epson service center.

The codes should be in the owners manual. Otherwise go to the web site in the support area. Type in the printer model then look for error codes support.

thats an error from Epson you should contact them

Did you remove and reinsert the cartridges? Perhaps, clean the contacts. This is a cartridge error.

This happens when you let the "maintenance req. 0040" go for to long. The machine turns itself of to prevent damage.

Solution: Call epson and they will give you the reset code. Cannot find these codes online so if you do call please post instructions

Hi.. To fix the E527 error, close the front panel (cover A) and open the top cover (cover B). With the photoconductor unit removed, the toner carousel will rotate. It only rotates if cover A is closed all the way. You can easily rotate the carousel to a position where you can remove/reinstall the toner cartridge if stuck.
