There is no button on these, there is a setting in the wireless configurator that allows you to enable/disable the radio. Make sure the radio is enabled. Radio throws most people, all it is is the wireless card. The card works on frequency, so therefore is considered a radio, confusing, I know. If the radio is enabled or it still doesn't work after enabling it, you may have a driver glitch, then uninstall the wireless drivers from the device manager, and reboot. The machine will find the wireless and reinstall the drivers. This should get you up and running.

Hi my name is Bobbie Donaldson, I asking help for my daughter a single mom tryin to school and work and make sure her daughter is safe while she works , she is struggling and falling behind.

-Sorry to heard that. The best thing to do, both you need to apply for government's housing to reduce the rent. And apply for food stamp and possibly cash as well at DHS. So she can go school and work part time until she get a good job.
-Even some one help you today. How about tomorrow and on.
This will be a long team.

Good luck

Maintain wireless connection at school, is ok everywhere else...

There are some points to consider: 1. It could be that your computer is restricted from the school's wireless access point. 2. It could also be that the wireless adapter is old and might be needing an upgrade. 3. You could also try to re-type the school's wireless password in your computer is there is any.

Can't Connect to the internet.

Hi!
1. I think your connection is temporarily blocked by university. (Have you used P2P clients like bittorrent, Vuze. Usu. Uni block ur account because of excessive data usage). Call them and make sure they didnt clock ur access.
2. Mosttimes installation of new antivirus, firewall mess up your connection. so then you have to uninstall and then reinstall your firewall again.
3. Can you please go to one of your friends place and try to log in using non Uni/ school network. If it works it again prove your account is suspended.
4. Go to HP website using other computer. under hp customer support you can find latest Wireless and Lan drivers for your laptop. Then download it and install it to your computer. Then It will sove your problem.
If non of these dint work please let me know.
I will try my best to help!

I am a teacher at an elementary school and I am trying to connect a Dell Wireless 1450 Wireless USB adaptor to a brand new Dell computer. We have wireless internet at our school. I cannot get the thing to...

hi..
so you are not able to see the networks at all,1st make sure that we are detecting the wireless network and that the drivers are installed in the computer
follow these steps..
click on start, control panel, network and internet connection and then network connection.
2)under network connection you will see a conneciton that says wireless network connection.
3)right click and click on view wireless networks, once you are in this box if it says windows cannot configure then perform step number 5 and if you can see the network perform steps no 4.
4)you will probably see the network of you school, click on the netwokr name and you will see a tab that says connect, click on connect and if the network in your school is secured then it will tell you to put in the password which you can get by speaking with the network administrator..once connected it will tell you that you are connected and then try going online..
5)if no networks are detected and says windows cannot configure, click on start, all progams, dell wireless and then click on dell wireless wlan card utility,
6)In this card utility you will see a that says general and under that tab you will see a box which will shows you the available networks then click on the network and then either you will have a connected button or cofigure button now depending upon the network it will either tell you to put the password or the network key once you do that the wireless should get connected and you should be able to go online now...
hope this steps will resolve the issue...Best of luck...
let me know incase if you see a different screen..

Trouble with wireless card

Something has gone wrong with your internet home connection--obviously nothing is the matter with your wireless connectivity hardware. You should reconfigure your home wireless connection. Follow the directions in Vista or XP help to set up a new home wireless connection. There are various ways to do this, such as through a router. If you have a home wireless router, be sure to set it for WEP incryption, or your neighbors will be able to get on your internet free.

Wireless Internet Connection

Hello, You won't need to do anything. When the connection is made from your laptop to the wireless signal at school, an IP address will be assigned dynamically(automatically). Just turn it on and if it doesn't connect within 20-30 seconds, click start, control panel and then network connections. Follow directions and it will connect for you. Hope this helps, Good luck..

Cannot connect wireless to internet

sounds like either you aren't really connected to your router, or there could be a software error. One other thing is wireless interfernce. Check the IP address of your laptop after you connect wirelessly. If it not somthing like 192.168.x.x or whatever your router assigns, if there is a differnt one from that, it is most likely interference wrong connection or bad router.
