Usually, a new "drive" will appear in "My Computer", Sometimes it will show up as a camera in the same area. If no success. try these.
1. check for a solid connection on both ends.

2. DO NOT use a hub, the front USB port, the one on the monitor, etc.
get a memory card reader and plug it directly into the computer.

3. [NOT FOR NOOBS] right click on my computer and pick "Manage", the computer managment program will open. goto the Disk Management area and expand the window. It could be the drive is there but a drive letter is in conflict. Change the drive letter of the camera or reader to something you don't use.

Remove the battery and the memory card, and disconnect from computer, now push power and hold for at least 60 seconds to reset the processor ic, install memory card and battery, turn on camera settings should return to normal, if not! the systems control board is the problem.

How can I transfer pictures on internal memory to the memory card on a Kodak Easy Share CD80?

You would need to connect your Kodak Easy Share CD80 first to a computer via a USB cable. Afterwards, the computer should detect another drive (which is your Kodak camera) by going to My Computer. Once you see the drive for your camera, you just need to double click it so that you can paste the pictures that you want to send to your Kodak Camera.

I am attempting to transfer photos from my C713, but I can't power the camera on when it is plugged into the USB. I have changed the batteries and the camera will power on when the USB is disconnected...

Easy shares are set up so they won't respond when plugged in to usb. When you turn the camera on and then run the easyshare program and lastly connect the usb cable, then the pictures and video will transfer to the computer.
You can also take the SD card out of the camera and put it in your computer and transfer pictures that way as well.

I had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall my easy share software and now when I plug my camera in to transfer pics it says "unable to read device". Using same camera and cord as before.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

All of a sudden my Kodak Easyshare 530 will not transfer pictures to my computer, I have reinstalled software, still does not transfer. Can you help me?

Possible solutions:
Remember you need to turn the camera on when transferring.
Try a different USB outlet
Try a different cable
Try a different computer.
If all fails please contact KODAK in order to arrange a repair or order a new cable. Remember your USB cable is covered under the same warranty as your camera, so remember your serial number when calling:

If you suspect it could be directly related to your software.
You need to follow the instructions:
  1. Uninstall Easy Share software:
  2. Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs.
For Windows XP operating systems, select Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs.
  3. Select Kodak Easy Share software.
  4. Select Remove (or select Change, and then select Remove).
  5. Run the Clear utility:
  6. Visit the CLEAR Utility for Kodak Easy Share software Web page at www.kodak.com/go/clear
  7. Click the Download button, and then follow the on-screen prompts.
  8. After restarting your computer, visit the Kodak Easy Share software Web page at www.kodak.com/go/easysharesw and install the latest version of Easy Share software.

Transferring pics from camera to computer

If your connecting the camera via the usb cable you will need the drivers for the camera to be recognised by the pc. Do you have the disk that came with it? If not, try here and download the easy share software.
