Stereo stuck in demo mode

I have a Sony shelf system that was giving to me because they said it wont turn on so they didnt want it. I looked at it and it seems to be stuck in demo mode and will not turn on no matter what button i push. The front panel doesn't seem to be responding to anything i do. I disconnected the connector thats running from the front panel to the main board, blew out the dust with a can of air and reconnected it. I've done the same with all the connectors since it was pretty dusty inside. Plugged it in and tried to turn it on and get nothing but the demo.

Any Ideas what could be causing this? I was thinking that the AMP board could be bad, or even the front panel board, but im not sure.
