Can you describe what does happen. Any beeps on power on? Fan or hard disk spin? Why did you change the power supply and ram?

It sounds like a ram problem, what error beeps are you getting when first booting. The ram will make all fail if faulty, if you have two banks of ram remove one and reboot, if problem the same remove the other and replace the first, If you have boot success it is the ram, has some one told you it was the power because they were wrong, has there been a storm recently, as a last resort I would reset the cmos to default, you will of course need to re-set the boot order etc, let me know how it goes please

Power getting to the computer/Power Supply?
Yeah.

Power Supply good? -> NO

A) IF ALL of the LED lights were on at once, they would use less than 1 Watt of power.

B) EACH fan uses 2 to 3 Watts of power.

C) A typical Processor can use from 51 to 125 Watts of power.
Just depends on what Processor it is.

HP Pavilion a810n Desktop PC?
Uses an AMD Athlon 64 3300+ processor,
(Operates Up To a frequency rate of 2.4GHz)

Can use up to 89 Watts of power.

Your Power Supply doesn't even have enough power to spin fans, much less start the Processor.

Want to test the Power Supply? Have a multimeter?
No? Have a power supply you can borrow for a test unit?
KNOWN to be good, and Compatible?

Will not power on

if all fan are spin up.
see your RAM, maybe its broken.
a computer need a routine checking all RAM, if its not good, your computer will freeze.
try pull out and put it again. if its doesn't work. replace it.
PS. when you pull out your computer with all RAM pulled out and doesn't heard any BIP BIP BIP (BIOS POST CODE) noise. I can Assume your Mainbpard or ypur processor is broken. maybe its sound scary but its not. see for computer service center to help, they can give you good advice.

Computer not powering on. green light is on behind tower though. what can it be?

Could possibly be your power supply. unplug the computer and take out the ram and put them back in. If that doesn't work, get a new power supply.

I have no display even at start it doesn't turn on my monitor

Hi Anthony,
Does the PC actually start up? In other words do the front panel lights come on and can you see the power supply fan turn at the rear where you plug in your power cable?

If so, try removing the RAM memory from the motherboard, clean the connectors with some surgical spirits or anti-static spray, then replace the RAM firmly back in their slots and try turning on your PC again.

Let me know if you still have a problem after following this procedure.
Best wishes,

If you saying "doesn't always boot", most common would be motherboard...
If your motherboard still beeps, then probably some other components has the problem like RAM, GPU card etc., depends on your motherboard.

Hope that give an idea...

Hello,

There are only two ways this can go for you.

One- you need a new power supply

OR

Two, you need a new mother board

You can verify the power supply by checking it on another machine

If the power suppy is good

And you do not hear the bios beep- then you are looking at a new motherboard- I would double check the powersupply first- most stores that sell them will let you check before you buy a new powersupply.
