If you don't have proof of purchase, go to the store you bought it from. I believe it's up to 3 years on an Xbox 360 for the warranty.

One you have that phone the support line:

1-800-4MY-XBOX
International (direct dial to U.S.): 425-635-7180
Hearing Impaired (TDD device): 1-866-740-9269 or 425-635-7102
Hours of operation (every day):
9:00 A.M. to 1:00 A.M. Eastern Time
6:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. Pacific Time

Red ring

these are a few options to repair a 360 that has red rings of death. Microsoft has a 3 year warranty covering it so that should be your first option since it will keep your warranty active.

You can also buy kits to fix it for a small price that will help keep your 360 cooler and repair any broken solder points. Let me know what route you want to go and I will get the documents that will help you get back to playing on live;-)

How to fix the red ring in xbox

The only definitive way to fix the red ring issue in a 360 is to either send it to Microsoft for a replacement, or send it to a third party repair center. The Microsoft route is what I'd recommend, especially if the system is still under warranty.

3 red rings displayed. system started freezing, now there is no activity.

I would first unplug your xbox and then plug it back in. If that does not fix the three red lights, then you have the Red Ring of Death as it is called. This problem occurs when there is some sort of overheating or hardware failure. Your best bet is to send your Xbox into Microsoft to get it fixed. If your warranty is still active this will fix it. If your warranty no longer exists your best bet would be to find a local shop that can fix it or buy a new xbox (they have pretty much eliminated the RRD). Hope this helps.

Turn on x box tv says no signal. colors on games

Your Xbox isn't sending a video signal to your tv.

Check to make sure the tv / hdtv selector is in the correct position for your type of television set. You can also try to reset the console video settings by turning on your xbox and immediately hold in the right trigger and press the Y button.

If you still have the problem after you've done these things, you'll need to call Xbox support at 1 800 469 9269 and say the word "Agent" when the recording starts talking.

If your Xbox is still under warranty "1 yr. for this type of problem" then Microsoft will fix it for free. If it's not under warranty, it will cost you either $99 or $120 to get it fixed depending on how you open the support case.

When you're on the phone with Xbox support, the tech can open a support case for you... repair cost $120, or you can open your own support case online at www.xbox.com.... repair cost $99

If your Xbox is not under warranty and you don't want to spend $99 or $120, there are numerous documents on the internet that outline how to make the repairs yourself.

If you choose the repair it yourself route, opening the Xbox will completely void any warranty that may still be in effect on your console.
For example: The 3 year warranty that applies to the RROD.

3 red lights and green in the middle. have already tried the towel around it and that did'nt work.

what you have is commonly known as the RROD, or Red Ring Of Death. what this normally means is that your xbox 360's GPU, or Graphics Processing Unit, has over heated to the extent that it has warped the motherboard and desoldered it's self from the motherboard.

Here's a few tutorials on how to fix this. Keep in mind though, always send it in if you still have warranty. that's the best way to make sure that's it's done right.

Hope this helped

Xbox 360 has two red lights

2 red lights mean its over heating. Well there really isnt much you can do to fix the problem. What I sugest is if it is in a cabnet. take it out and put it on the floor. Try both positions (standing and horizonal). If you still are having that problem try buying a intercooler from bestbuy or EB. If you dont want to go that route. You can try calling microsoft and if still under warranty they will fix it. the number is 1-800-4MYXBOX. hope this helps.

Xbox 360 disk tray wont stay shut

My 360 is/was having a similar problem...my 360 would say "reading disc" then "open tray". Well since my system is only about 8 months old...I opted to send it in for repair. Its under warranty. My system is in route to be fixed as we speak. I would advise you to get yours registered too.

Hi, this is a common problem known as the RRoD or the Red Ring of Death. If you xbox is still under warranty, call microsoft and they will fix it for you for free. Microsoft's fix is sometimes temporary. You can also fix it yourself permanently with a DIY step by step video guide with very easy to follow instructions that costs only $29. and if you do try to fix it yourself, or you've voided the warranty ( by already opening it) make sure you DON"T do the " towel Fix " it will only make things worse. you need to do an X Clamp repair. It's simple. I had no experiance whatsoever.with electronics. and I was able to figure it out the first time I tried it. I did it three weeks ago and my X box is quieter than ever and it works fine. so serach on you tube " X Box 360 X clamp fix " and you should see what you need to fix your problem.
