I have a Peavey 1200 amplifier that keeps blowing both main fuses as soon as I plug it in. The cooling fan stays on even though fuses are blown.

Some of the outputs transistors is bad hence causing a bridge in circuit, thats why the fuse is blowing.Check all the outputs transistors on both channels, rectifiers and zena diodes these are the possible causes of circuit bridge when they are faulty. The fan works on AC thats why it is not affected even when the fuse is blown. Please if you have anymore challenge please send me a mail on mikewee4wee@yahoo.com

Peavey tnt 115 blowing fuses

your either overloading something cause that's what pops fuses. My guess is that what your plugging in or into has a ground issue. I'm wondering if it does it with nothing plugged in at all. I would say if you have nothing in and it does it, you need to find where the ground issue is. that's my best guess

Peavey tnt 115 blowing fuses

Very unlikely, sounds like it's faulty. Was this on plugging in or were you using the amp, and if so doing what? What is your supply oltage?

I have a Peavey Cs 400 amp that keeps blowing the 4amp fuse as soon as I turn it on any ideas

Fuses blow when there's an overload. This is usually caused by a transistor or IC that has shorted. You should look to the main amp as the most likely cause. If the main amp has transistors, then a test with an ohmmeter will show the faulty part. Connecting across the terminals will show the same as when you touch the test probes together. If you don't see a hole in the part first!

One side of my peavey xr86000 power mixer blew a fusework

Any unit that blows fuses needs to be serviced. Do not keep putting in fuses only for them to be blown again. Each time you put in a fuse and it blows, it will create more damage to the amplifier.

Where 's the fuse for my kb 100/200 watt amplifier

The fuse is INSIDE the unit and if it blows, then there are other damaged components that require going to a repair shop to repair before replacing the fuse.

My amp keeps blowing its fuses whenits plugged in

Go over all your wiring. Make sure your power wire isn't grounded somewhere. If your power wire is touching any bare metal it will spark and blow the fuse the second you touch the power to your amp. Make sure your in-line fuse is about a foot from your battery, and make sure you have your ground wire grounded securely to the main chassis of the car/truck and that it is either same size gauge as your power or even a little bit bigger gauge. Also make sure no strands of wire from your ground or power wire are loose and reaching over touching the other where you plug them into the amp. If the ground and power touch eachother they will blow the fuse and possibly cause permanent damage to the amp.

When I plug my speakers into my peavey amplifier and turn it on, I get a load hum even if I don't have an input source connected to the amplifier. How do I stop the hum?

The type of cable you use plays a big role
on amps check all grounds, how long it is
has a lot to do with it
You may have a bad cap.inside or even on the
input of your plug.

Maybe this will help
