It sounds like the head unit is going bad. If the CD is not that important to you dont worry about it. Also you may want to check the fuses behind the head unit. Also make sure the 12 V+ Memory backup, ground, and Ignition Wires are hooked up correctly. Well, the ignition probably is, but you never know.
