Most likely a paper jam or trip switch. Worked on copiers for 20 years. All of the areas made for operator removal should be yellow in color or maybe another now. follow inside cover instructions to see where areas you can remove are. Chances are you will have a small piece of paper in the path. Also if you just put in paper make sure you fan it. If you are in a high humidity area paper can soak up small amounts of water. if you are using it remote make sure no one left paper on platen (top) paper feeders are notorious for causing problems. Open up top of document feeder blow out any paper dust, also look for foreign objects. If that light comes on right of way saying check doc feeder, there is something tripping that path sensor or flag.

I have a 3m thermofax 45cg every paper run through is completely

I am a major seller of these machines in ebay. The machine may need a new potentiometer. Build a carrier. Put two pieces of transparency plastic sheets together with a piece of tape and use this to carry your stencils. This will reduce the heat of the lamp. Rouben (rouben@ektalc.com).

Brother Fax 2820 gives message: Back Door Open

It could be that a tab is broken off of the door that trips a switch. Cheat the switch with a small folded piece of paper.

PanaFax UF-780 toner error.

If you mean a 788, there are moveable tabs on the front top of the cartridge that trip switches. Move them around.

Several companies have their own brand names on Panafax's. Their toner won't work. Kyocera must be kyocera Toner, Canon must be Canon toner, etc.

Brother intellifax 770 plain paper

The tab is probably broken that trips the top cover switch. Try sticking a small piece of paper down where the tab used to go.

Paper Jam message

There are a couple of sensor flags in side the machine and also the document feeder area. Little black levers that flip and trip a sensor. Make sure they are all moving freely. There is one or two in the doc feed area. One inside the paper feed area. One or two in the ribbon area.
