I updated my toshiba l300 pslgbe's bios from the 1.80 to the 2.2, now everytime i turn my laptop on, it shows a blue screen with an error. my laptop is now completely useless

AS YOU ON THE SYSTEM AND EVEN BEFORE WINDOWS STARTS KEEP PRESSING THE F8 KEY CONTINUEOUSLY. A MENU WILL APPEAR. SELECT SAFE MODE AND ENTER. WINDOWS WILL LOAD IN SAFE MODE. THIS WILL SOLVE SOME OF YOUR PROBLEMS. NOW RESTART THE SYSTEM IN NORMAL MODE.

IF THIS DOES NOT WORK SELECT "LOAD WINDOWS WITH LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION " AND THEN RESTART. THIS WILL SURELY SORT OUT YOUR PROBLEM.

PLS REPLY OR COMMENT. THANKS

When I load my Toshiba Satellite L305D-S3958 It loads up saying it didn't shut down successfully. I tried all the modes from safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, and Star...

I hope that you have a goood back-up of file. Getting blue screen error is a fatal OS problem. You need to re-install windows. You need to get the CD that came with your computer or the operating system disc you used to install the windows. Insert the disc on the CD-DVD drive and restart your computer. Watch for a Press any key to boot from CD or DVD... message. Installation will start. Good Luck!

When i go to start it up, it shows the Windows XP loading screen, then a black then blue screen flash for less than a 1/2 second.

It's called a BSOD which means blue screen of death. try to boot into safe mode by pressing F8 as soon as the computer starts hit it repeatedly, then try last known configuration that worked. If that doesn't work, reboot and try F8 again and go to safe mode, then do a system restore.

Can i change experts

Please select the Safe Mode option. If you no longer have that option whenever you turn your computer on. you can press on F8 after power-on. If you are able to boot in Safe Mode, please try to do a system restore (Start-All Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore). Choose a restore point with a date known to be a time when you never experienced this problem. If you are not able to boot using any of the advanced boot options, you will need to do a full system recovery (reinstall the OS). Hope this helps. Thank you.

You can try to select safe mode and do a system restore (Start-all programs-accessories-system tools-system restore) choosing the date when your laptop was working properly. If you are using Vista, you would see if you had a Windows Update or other such software changes. It is like undoing that but there would be no changes with your personal data. If your laptop works faster after that, please do not have the same software or update again. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Toshiba laptop - Tablet with Windows XP

Greetings,
If we had a clarity on the OS you are using it would have been easy. Do not try to change the mode. Shut down the comp and then try to restart, as it starts then tap the F8 key on the keyboard. We'll get the option for Safe mode. If still you do not get through.
Not being sure why you want to goto safe mode you can always use a plug an play external CD ROM. In case the issue is not resolved for safe mode you'll need to repair the Windows.

Pop in the recovery disk and then restart the laptop. It will walk you through it, but be forewarned - you will lose all data.
