How do i reboot a presario

First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.Next - to check if the harddrive is faulty, remove the hard drive and insert it into an USB hard drive adapter and connect it to a workingcomputer's USB port. If this computer cannot see itas an USB mass storage device and you cannot open the various folders and fileson this drive, then this confirms the hard drive is faulty. Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.

Its running real slow i just got the computer and would like to reboot the whole thing

I would suggest getting more ram, uninstalling unused programs, and ensure you have no viruses or spyware before rebooting the whole thing. Also try Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter which are included in every windows install. var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_8c66e6b90b1f41da81fe7925163cc6e9(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); } FCTB_Init_8c66e6b90b1f41da81fe7925163cc6e9(document['FCTB_Init_840462b29f7947a29ec87e686e109d2e']); delete document['FCTB_Init_840462b29f7947a29ec87e686e109d2e']

Hi i have a emachines g420 laptop and it froze so i switched it of and turned it back on and my vista home operating system wont come back up so how would i go about fixing it of resetting the whole thing

Did you make a set of recovery discs when you bought the computer, if you did you can power on the laptop and insert disc one into your dvd drive and then turn the machine back off by holding the power button down for 5 seconds and is will shut down, wait 10 seconds and push the power button again and your laptop should ask you if you want to boot from CD, just hit any key and follow the step by step instructions. But you will loose everything you had on your computer putting it back to factory specs, so if you have made some backups to an external drive after you reboot the computer you can reinstall all your stuff.

My wife bought a Gateway laptop, Model MT6920, in January of 2007 running Vista Home Premium. I am trying to upgrade to Windows 7. I am trying to use its CD/DVD drive to download the Windows7 upgrade,...

Try shutting down your windows firewall. Sometimes the old windows will block the new windows installation. By disabling the firewall on vista that should allow to it to install. Becareful, there is not whole alot of drivers for windows 7 for printers just like windows vista problem.

I do not have a reboot cd for my 7330 gateway laptop. I need to reboot my computer back to its original state as I bought it.

To do this, you must have the original software. Visit Gateway/support and see if they will provide you with either a CD version or if you can download the image.
