The solar cells do not store energy, but there may be a battery in the calculator that stores energy. Normally, there is enough light in an indoor room to operate the calculator. I have never had to use the sun with a solar calculator;)

You don't. The 30X IIs runs on both solar power and a 2025 lithium battery. If you need to replace the 2025 battery, see this.

Even if there is an issue with the calculator it is no longer relevant because it is a discontinued product. It does not have a backup battery and it only uses Solar Power. I suggest to expose the panel to sun light to fully activate the display. And then again it may be just old age, and it is time for you to get a more powerful calculator.

It may not have found a solution yet. Try the [AC] button to clear the calculation. Around the 9 key it is marked CLR on the face of the calculator. Use the [SHIFT][ 9] (CLR) [1] to accept (SetUp) and [=] to confirm.

Most calculators are solar powered, so the battery can be charged. Check to make sure the solar panel isn't covered up by anything. Other than that, all I can offer is that the keypad is wore out, in which case you could take it to a repair shop, but you are probably better off just buying a new calculator.

You can't recharge it. It is a solar calculator with watches battery. You need to change the battery.

The calculator uses a battery in addition to the solar cell. If the battery runs down you need to replace it. Turn the calculator over and you'll see the battery compartment in the upper-right corner (with a screw holding it shut). The calculator takes a LR44 battery or equivalent.

Make sure you clear the calculator after replacing the battery: press ON SHIFT 9 3 =

You can't charge the calculator off the solar power panel. The solar power panel merely conserves battery power when using the calculator in a bright environment. Try putting in a new battery and see whether the calculator turns on.

Yeah I had the same problem, you need to open your calculator and check if all the screen cables is alright, i had just put sellotape on the back of the screen from inside so that the screen hold better, and it works for me if for you not maybe something broken in the schema but try it. The thing I know for sure the problem is in the screen or from where it get the data the schema. Tell me if it's working
