Problems with Packard Bell Keyboard

I've problems with my Packard Bell 6301N keyboard.
Every third time, it doesnt start as if it wasnt plugged properly or identified by the computer.
Restarting the computer often solves the problem but it is quite tedious.
I dont think it comes from the driver as the one which is currently installed is a standard keyboard one (Microsoft Natural Keyboard P/S2) and as I havent found any (other) specific driver available on the web.
NB: I got the keyboard with a (French) iMedia 6430 machine.

Thank you for your help,

I have the same probleme (with keyboard Packard Bell 6301N. Not solution at the moment, but, since my mouse isnot out of order, instead of rebooting my PC, I only "make it sleep". then it can be waken up by simply touching the space bar (il allows not to reboot)

SOURCE: PACKARD BELL EASYNOTE MV35-202 keyboard and mouse pad won't work

The first thing to do is my computer properties see if your keyboard and mouse are showing in there
If they are you need to update the drivers.
If they are not showing then I would suggest going to control panel and add new hardware installing that way
Try using a standard mouse instead of usb
If you cannot get on try restarting in safemode to correct your problem.
Or if you have a cd that came with the mouse and keyboard reinstall it.
Let me know if this helped also did you reinstall the same version of windows

SOURCE: Keyboard beeps when any key is pressed

The reason these beeps are happening is because there might be a key that is slightly depressed enough to where its registering keystrokes. Move your fingers all over the keyboard and see if you the beeps stop after you do that. If it still is going on then that means your keyboard is bad and will need to be replaced.

I buy PC packard bell easynote_TS11HR-032FR and the touchpad does not work, when i use my pc for the first time.

Check this:
Many laptops with touchpads have a switch or a keyboard combo that will disable the touchpad. Look to see if there is a little button you can push located near the touchpad. Alternately, there is normally a Fn-special function key combination you can use. You press the Fn key and also the special function key that has a little symbol on it that looks like a touchpad. That can turn the touchpad on or off.

Hi.I recently bought a Packard Bell mini-laptop (model DOA150),But after installing all Windows XP updates and turning on password protection at the startup, the KEYBOARD and sometimes also the MOUSEPAD...

If cases when this happens you can use the on screen keyboard.

Bottom left corner you will have a blue icon called ease of access.

You can open the on screen keyboard from there.

If the keyboard is working intermitantly inside Windows this could be a driver issue and they may need updating.

Failing that it could be a loose connection.

Checked Packard Bell website for an updated driver if it still the same contact your retailr for a repair.

It can happen for many things.
First if the keyboard become wet by water or other liquid then it happens.

2nd if the keyboard cable leakage from inside.

3rd if the keyboard circuit become fault or short circuit.

Solution under the here

1st, unplug your keyboard cable and then check your cable holder pin "if your keyboard is PS2 system" other wise no need. after unplug then plug your cable and restart your computer.

2nd, if your keyboard become wet then open it from back side and need to dry it just sunlight. after doing that please fitting your key board carefully.

3rd if your keyboard circuit become fault then you can wash it by thinner and then heat it by hot air gun.

other wise you need to a new keyboard. thanks

Your Packard-Bell keyboard was designed to work specificaly with your PB system. The old computer came (probably pre-installed) with software and drivers that map the extra keys to functions like e-mail, calculator, volume control etc. It may be possible to make the keyboard work like it did on your old system by locating and installing the Packard Bell keyboard driver and software. Go to the PB website and select UK-Irish support location. From there go to support section and follow the automated support by filling in info such as model number etc. No guarantee it will work but worth a try.
