Hi my laptop is model vr320 with intel t2080 dual core cpu 1.78 ghz, integerated radeon express 200m video 1 gb 667 mhz memory and 80 gb harddrive, i have been getting a message - (non compliant acpi bios) from windows for a few months now (note tried to resolve issue but could not find anyway to update bios thru msi website) but i can get into windows fine and do my work up until yesterday that is when i turned on the laptop it just stays at a black screen, no post. it did this already before and i removed the cmos battery for a few minutes and the laptop would post. ok so that was a fairly easy fix but this time it does not post after removing the battery and cmos and powering down the system overnight, is the bios corrupted now? and am i stuck with an unusable laptop? can this problem be fixed in anyway, ie. is the bios chip replaceable or recoverable? by the way i had a similar issue with another unit but it was an asus and it was able to recover with a bios flash since i think it has a dual bios or backup bios when the main bios fails. i wish msi had this kind of technology so it would be easier to fix. hope you could help me out since msi does not have a repair center here in the philippines and im not sure local technicians can solve the issue. hope for your quick response and informative solution, thanks in advance
