When a wanna to make a video call with skype my webcam dont work

This model Compaq laptop does not have a built-in WEB cam.

To use video call with Skype you need to purchase an USB WEBcam, connect the WEBcam into the Compaq laptop's USB port and install the WEBcam driver that came with the WEBcam.
Then configure Skype - select the WEBcam and mic.

if you dont have one already, you need to download a program from YAHOO, MSN, SKYPE, or any other video direct program that allows you to communicate using the webcam. if you need to know how to adjust and operate the webcam, see link below

Please check if the webcam is detected in the device manager, if yes then follow the step's below. Skype To set up and use your webcam in Skype, follow the steps below. Be sure to upgrade to the latest version of Skype from http://www.skype.com .

1. Log into Skype.
2. Double-click a user also logged into Skype from your Contact List to begin an instant message.
3. Click the Check settings icon to set up your microphone, speakers, and webcam.
NOTE: Sometimes, Skype does not recognize the HP default microphone. If the microphone is not working, go to Device Manager and select the Integrated Microphone Array .
4. Click the Video Call icon to begin a video chat.

5. An invitation will be sent to the other user. To start the webcam, the other user must click Answer . A video image will display in the instant message.
If the other user wishes to share their webcam with you, they will need to click their Video call icon, and you will need to accept their invitation when prompted.
6. To end the video chat, click the red telephone icon .

Sounds like the settings in the skype are wrong, you need to go into the tools - settings or properties. test the video there make sure you see yourself there, if you don't see yourself in the skype video settings page then its not working, also go to the sound settings, make sure the green bar moves when you speak, if it does not move the settings are wrong, you need to select the right microphone from the available on ths list there on the audio settings page in skype.

if you have the webcam connect to the computer and install the drivers correct (you can check in configuratie, systeem , hardware )
if correct oke the next step instal skype or msn and in the section "extra select audio/video configuratie" and the web cam gives you display your object you turn it to

connect it to your computer and select webcam on your fone
then open an programe on your computer that requires a webcam and see if it worked. if you dont have a webcam required programe
download skype there is a webcam test on there (it is handy too)

why do you wanna use it on skype a tv card is to render a tv signal, or those of a video cam, for vista yust downlaod the vista drivers for it, leadtek.com website, get a webcam if you wana use skype?

You dont have to pay any fees for using your webcam in skype. Your system would have already configured your webcam with skype. So during the call there will be a video button which you have to click to start your video.
If your webcam is not detected, go to video settings and set your webcam using the dropdown listbox in video settings.
