Turn on your U-verse TV, press Menu on your U-verse remote ,
select Help, Information, and then Remote Control Setup. Next,
select your remote control from the TV onscreen list. Refer to
your specific remote for TV/device setup options. Select Top Ten
Brand Setup, Automatic Code , Learning Mode, or Manual Setup.
You can program your AT&T U-Verse remote control using the Automatic Code Finder. This step cycles through all possible codes for the type of TV you are programming until the correct code has been found. Please follow the steps bellow.
Make sure that the TV you want the AT&T U-verse remote
control to control is ON.
With your TV on, PRESS AND HOLD DOWN, the TV Mode Key on the remote control. The mode keys are located at the
top of the U-verse remote control. While holding down the TV
Mode Key, press and release the OK button. If done correctly the Mode Keys will blink twice. The remote is now ready to be programmed.
The next step is to enter the code for the automatic code finder feature. That code is 922. Enter the code 922
using the Remote Control's keypad. You have 10 seconds to enter this
code before the remote times out. When 10 seconds have elapsed the Mode
Keys will flash once. If this happens just start over.
Next steps is start the automatic code finder search. Make sure you aim your remote control at your TV. Then press and release the play button on the remote control. Now press the Fast Forward key multiple times until the TV turns off. Then press Enter
to save the code. Your remote now has the correct code. If done
successfully the Mode buttons will flash three times. Press the Power button again to turn on your TV.
When the code has been entered correctly, the appropriate Mode Key will
flash three times. To check to see if this code works, press the Power
button. If the TV or DVD does not turn off, then we need the correct 4-digit code of your TV.
Viore told me that they do not have a code that can be input into any remote. I have two Viore TV's... just bought my 2nd a few days ago. You will always have to use the Viore remote to power up or just turn off the cable instead. Not sure that turning off cable completely turns off the TV though.
