Do I need to turn off the tv speakers to get tv sound from my soundbar?

How to Connect Soundbar to TV audio

I would think that the tv would automatically detect a cable being plugged in. It should only send sound to the soundbar once it is connected. Make sure the soundbar is on when you do your testing. You may have to change the audio settings on your tv in order to send audio to the soundbar.

My wharfedale tv LCD2610AF keeps goin to standby after ten mins of being on .... iv checked the sleep settings and its not that .... any idea please

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time

I want to play netflix from my computer to my dynex televison but the sound only plays on the laptop what do i have to do for it to work on the tv

What kind of cable are you using to connect the laptop to the TV? If you're using a VGA cable, that kind of cable doesn't carry an audio signal - just video. You'll need a second audio cable to send the sound to the TV. The audio cable is a 3.5mm patch cord like this: Professional Cable ST35MM 06 Stereo 3 5 mm 6 Feet Cable Black
You can get them at most electronics stores, or very cheaply online. Dollar stores often sell them too.

Here's the (PDF) manual for the back of your TV and how to connect a computer: http://www.dynexproducts.com/cms/documents/DX-32L-37L-46L150A11_10-0012_WEB_ENG_V4_Final%20lr.pdf . See page 11.

I have a LG 26LD350 tv and i bought an hdmi cord for it, to connect my laptop to it..and it has picture but no sound, what's the problem?

The HDMI sound setup can be set to send the digital audio through the HDMI cable or to send the analog audio through the analog audio line out and receive through the analog audio line input (Green mini stereo phone jack on the PC and on the TV)
So you have to look at the TV HDMI sound setup to see how the audio signal will be handled, same thing for your PC HDMI sound set up.

The hdmi ports not whork whit my ps3 and my computer port

HDMI sends video from a component to a TV. It most likely will not send video from a PS3 to a Computer. Try connecting your computer to your TV via HDMI, and your PS3 to your TV via HDMI.

I have a 42 in lcd i hooked my computer up to it the computer sound isnt comeing out of the tv how do i get it to come out my suround sound there is a jack like a head phone plug where i hooked the...

Now i assume you have connected the Computer using a VGA cable ( 15 D pin connector )bobhifi_41.jpgbecause if you had used an HDMI cable the sound would have come by default. The VGA cable only carries analogue Video signals. So you will have to get 3.5 mm phono to 2 RCA cable to connect the sound out of the PC to the TV's audio in socket ( next to the VGA socket labeled audio IN )

I HAVE TRYED CONNECTING MY HDMI LEAD FROM MY COMPAC LAPTOP TO MY LG TV I AM GETTING PICTURE BUT NO SOUND CAN ANY ONE HELP

You need to connect an audio patch cord between the laptop and the TV. Use the headphone jack on the laptop (3.5 mm M). Check your LG TV manual for the correct audio in on the TV. (Usually it is next to the VGA port if the TV has that PC input.) Computers do not send sound on the HDMI video output.

I hope this helps.

Your computer may be sending out a video signal that's too high of a resolution for your TV to display. Try reducing the resolution of the computer video signal.

Vizio lcd hd--sounds fades and then no sound after 10 minutes

Sue, I had same problem. I worked around it though, and glad I did. I used a computer sound system (sobwoofer, 2 speakers, power supply) and used the headphone output as the speaker system's input. Now I have surround sound controlled by the remote. Great for the kitchen where we all sit around and watch movies.
