I just bought a Thule Parkway 4 bike hitch-mounted rack and I'm trying to install it. The problem is that the bolt hole in the bike arm does not align with the bolt hole in the upright assembly, so I can't insert the bolt to secure the bike arm to the upright assembly. It's a Saturday, so Thule's own support is closed. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Today is not Saturday anywhere in the world. Also, if there's a bike shop near you they may be able to help.

Check your local yellow pages for welding/fabricating shops or machine shops. They will be able to do it and make it look factory.

SOURCE: I have an old hitch mount bike rack : Thule

You have to buy a women's bike adaptor, (about $30) and it is a bar that makes the frame like a mens frame. Bike shops sell them.

How do mount thule 515-0109 bike rack on suburban

It attaches to the factory roof rails if you have them. If your vehicle doesn't have those, then you need the gutter mount feet for your Thule rack.

Call a bike shop who sells thule bike racks and they can look it up for you. Or, better still the dealer you bought it from will be glad to mount it for you and teach you about it.

Mounting method

I know you said you don't want to remove the front wheel but here are a couple of options for that if you're interested: http://www.yakima.com/racks/bike-racks/p... http://www.hurricanecomponents.com/press... If you don't want to remove the front wheel then you'll need to use a type of rack that has the hook arm or cradles to hold the bike. Thule makes a version of the T2 for truck beds....it's pretty nice. Or just use a hitch rack....the T2, Yakima, and Saris are all pretty decent and it's a snap to load and unload the bikes. They're all in the $320-$360 range, but it's a good investment.,,,
