After i try to find the registry (which is not available)
Why not give this a try:
1) Start your computer after SHUTDOWN
2) After your DESKTOP appear on the screen for about 10
second, QUICKLY INSERT ANY CD/DVD (in my case I
insert Glee)
3) Let the computer run for a while, don't do anything until it
settle down
4) Check at MY COMPUTER whether your cd is detected

I got mine work this way!
Good Luck my friends!
This device is Plug and Play, that's why thre is no driver for it, besides, it's already installed in Windows. Is the Acer alaptop or a desktop? Did you get the device after buying the computer? How did you installed it? Here is a tip, when installing th e drive, just make sure that the device is properly inserted, and go to the Bios to see if it's recognize.

How can i download the matshita dvd ram uj 8505?

Hi there.
If its Vista you are using, right click on "computer", select "manage" a window will pop up, select "device manager" you will now see a list of devices, look down the list and locate the CD/DVD Rom, click on the + icon next to the CD/DVD, right click on it and select "uninstall". restart the machine and load windows up as usual, the drivers for the CD/DVD will install automatically and you should be able to use the CD/DVD Rom.

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!!!
