Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Change Ringtone Automatically when charging

The BlackBerry gives few profiles to choose from; e.g. Normal, Loud, Quiet, Vibrate.... my recommendation would be to configure each profile separately and just enable/disable the profile you like when you enter/exit your car...

The phone itself is not capable to switching the profile on its own once it is plugged in to your car charger...

Hope this was helpful...

go to your ring profile, scroll down to advanced options, click on profile you want to update, usallt the one that says active next to it. This should open up and have a list of options, phone, email, messenger, etc. scroll down to sms text and click the track ball. now pick and choose which ring tone you want, however many vibrates, and rings etc. once you are done, click the back button and save the changes.

Describe your AT&T Blackberry

There are 2 places this can be set, and with AT&T, it tends to be set at the network level. Meaning to turn it off, you have to call them and request that they disable caller ID block on outgoing calls.

Call block options or software (free) for BB Curve 8330

Nope, the call blocks are handled by the switching hardware the cell provider uses. You can set your bb to block text messages, multimedia messages, pin messages, blackberry internet services, and enterprise email, but that's it.

Unknown callers wont ring

maybe check on the ringer type for restricted numbers- you can change ringers by all calls, restricted calls, and caller id numbers. your incoming restricted numbers is probably set at none or silent

Missing "profiles" icon on my BB 8310 curve

In the main screen, before you enter the menu, if you scroll the joystick to the up, you reach the upper profile icon. But to get your old icon back, maybe it's been hidden and you only need to go to your main menu, press the menu button again, and you should see the "Show All" option, if it's selected you can unselect it then you can go back to main menu and you'll see the hidden icons in grey color. When you come over the hidden icons and press menu button, you can select to hide or show them. And when you do the "Show All" steps again and select it again, this time you'll hide your icons selected as hidden.

My Q cuts off calls and callers' IDs

Freddie quia,
Hi and thanks for asking us.

Before you take the Q into your local dealer you might try the following. First, reset the Q. There are muliple ways of doing this. First, I would try removing the battery for about 60 seconds. Then put the battery back in and turn on the phone. Also, maintain good battery care. The Q uses quite a bit of juice and the battery needs to be constantly maintained. You may try resetting the battery. The way to do this is to allow the battery to discharge completely. Then recharge it fully, then discharge it completely again. Do not leave the battery plugged into the charger past the time it is fully recharged. Doing this can damage your battery and reduce the life of your battery. Believe me from experience, when I did not take care of the batteries for my Q it did all kinds of weird stuff.

Second, make sure you have not added any new programs to the Q. You may even try removing all programs and reinstalling them. Start, settings, remove programs, select program to remove and select "yes".

If you are still having the problem, then you may have to try a master reset - Start, System Tools, Master reset. Caution: if you complete a master reset all of your personal information will be lost***

Now, if you fix the problem with the missed calls and caller id, and your sound still does not work, then they are two separate issues. Take a good look at all of your sound settings. I know you have probably already done this. but before you take your Q into the dealer at least make sure you have looked at yoru profiles and speaker settings. you can check your sounds by Start, sounds, then look through every option to make sure it is set to an appropriate setting to ring. If it is marked none, then you will not recieve a ring for that option. For profiles, go to Start, Profiles, choose outdoor for the loudest. You can also change what each profile sounds like: Start, Profiles, Menu, Edit. You can set your ring type, ring volume, etc.

I hope this helps :)
