Question about DeLonghi PAC85 Portable Air Conditioner
My unit won't turn on. Yesterday, it wouldn't turn on so I unplugged it for several hours. It then turned on and ran for couple hours then turned off. It lights up but won't turn on. Help. I really need it..... SAL

I sat on hold with Delonghi for about 25 minutes before I talked to someone this morning. Expect a long wait before you get helped.
For this specific problem (unit works, just doesn't blow cold air), the unit MUST be sent to an authorized repair facility. No repair facilities in Texas. The closest one to Texas is:
All-Brands Appliance 5008 W. Linebaugh Ave. Suite #8 Tampa, Florida 33624 813-908-2002
Delonghi said they will cover mine under full warranty up to 13-months. No RMA needed, just a photo copy of the purchase receipt for the unit. Outbound shipping is something not covered by Delonghi, but they will pay for parts, labor, and return shipping.
All-Brands said they don't have any specific requirements for packing, other than making sure the casters on the bottom of the unit are well-protected. It is common for them to break during shipping. They recommended, though, that if you have someplace nearby that does professional packing, like a UPS Store, to take it there. It's not a requirement, just a recommendation.
Along with the unit send a copy (not the original) of your purchase receipt, your name and telephone number, and the address to where the unit will be returned. Also, include a detailed description of the problem with your unit.
I REALLY hope this information helps someone!

ERR - the tray full light means that it should be emptied, not filled. That tray is the condensate from the cooling process that a window unit would drip outside. Since yours is a portable unit, it collects it and alerts the user when it is time to empty it.

SOURCE: No water
If the air conditioner is putting out cold air, don't worry about it making water. You may not have enough moisture in the air to produce more water than it requires.
In some types of air conditioners, the water taken from the air is used to assist in cooling the condenser unit. The excess is run off.

I just purchased a 11,000 BTU Everstar from Home Depot. Not sure if it's the same model that you have. Maybe check there? I bet an employee would be willing to open one of the boxes to answer your question. Just tell them you bought it there. :) Or call Everstar, of course. Good luck!
