Will not turn on power lead ok and power to unit and fuse appears ok

There might well be a fuse. Look around the area where the power cord goes in and around the transformer.

Table saw stopped running. Will run when I tilt it forward

The fact that it runs in one position but not in another tells me that you have an electrical problem. Specifically, it suggests that you have an intermittently broken circuit that opens and closes as the position of a wire or relay is moved by gravity. However, it could also mean you have a short if a bare hot wire touches bare metal as your changing the position of the saw. If that's the case, then you'd probably see and hear some electrical arcing--one heck of a spark--when the motor stops running.

So let's assume it's an open. If you know how to use an ohmmeter, you can easily find the break and then replace the damaged part. If not, you could first begin by unplugging the power cord, removing the blade, plugging the power cord back into the wall socket, and hitting the power switch with the saw in the level (not working) position. Then start manipulating the power cord from the wall socket to the on-off switch--move it back and forth and up and down to see if one of the wires in it is broken but the broken ends can be put back into contact by these movements. If the motor starts to turn during these manipulations, replace or reattach the power cord. If nothing happens, unplug it and examine the leads from the switch to the motor to see if they're firmly attached at both ends. If one of the leads is loose, reattach it. If they look good, plug it back in and manipulate these leads one at a time like you did the power cord. It would be a good idea to be wearing some heavy insulated gloves during this procedure. If the motor starts to run, replace the damaged lead. If nothing happens, then temporarily wire around the on-off switch to see if it's damaged. If the motor runs when you do this, replace the switch.

Again, it would be far better to try to find the location of the open circuit using an ohmmeter with the power cord unplugged. If you don't have an ohmmeter, consider buying one. They're not expensive and not difficult to learn to use.

Good luck.

Kracher power washer won't turn on

Sure that the outlet you are using is powered? Is power reaching the motor? - I had my power switch on my karcher break internally rendering machine dead. If power is reaching the motor for sure and it does not run then there has to be an open motor winding. If pump jammed you would hear a humming noise from motor and the breaker would pop.

My TV no longer has power. I went to brush my teeth & came back to no power at all. The cord does have power but I get nothing from the television.

Possible that the power supply has failed which is a switch mode power supply. So switch off, remove power cord and open the panel and look at the SMPS cicuit.
Use a multimeter to probe, start checking from the fuse.

Hello...i have a whirlpool dryer ler7646eq1...the dryer will not start...i can hear some action near the switches but dryer will not start at all...any idea where to start....it is getting proper power...

Hi,
Here are somethings to check.
Make sure you have power and inspect power cord.
Check the door switch when you push in the door switch does it click? Try setting the timer to a different setting see if it works there. The next thing to check would be the thermal fuse but this would require opening up the cabinet.

Is there a reset switch on this machine?

Sounds like the lid switch. Open and close the lid and see if you can hear a click right when it closes (near the center under the timer panel). If not, the lid switch either needs adjusted, or replaced.

Brand new audio technica at-pl120 turntable not powering on; cant get turntable to spin

HELLO!
I don't know which country you are from, but if the mains plug has a fuse in it then replace it with the same type. If that does not do the trick take it back back where you bought it and get a refund or a replacement! There may well be an INTERNAL fuse inside the unit on the power supply unit which may be at fault. If it is under warranty don't open the turntable yourself - take it back - I WOULD!
All the best!

Dryer Won't Start

Make sure it has power. Then:Check the door switch. A little lever sticking down through top right of door opening. If it is not there you will need new door switch(sometimes the little lever breaks off). If it is there and does not click when you press it in you need a new door switch. if it clicks when you close the door then you have a bad thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is found by taking the back of the dryer off. The fuse is an oblong white plastic piece with 2 wires attached.

Thermal fuse part number 3392519

No picture, no sound, power light steady green

First: Check the power outlet. Check it with a good lamp so you know you are getting power to the set.
Secondly: Check the power cord. Wiggle it around the molded ends to make sure it is not open inside the molded portion of the plugs.

Thirdly: If you know for sure the set is getting power and still no indication at all (you should be getting some little light on the front panel; standby indication) then there may be a fuse on the back panel or just inside the back cover (you will have to remove it; after unplugging the power cord) that needs replaced.

Fourthly: After all these checks if you are getting nothing, you may have some failure inside that is very serious. Normally we do not recommend serious repairs to a set over 4 years of age. This is because the set is likely to develop some other problem soon after the repair is made; further, the repairs are getting more expensive day by day while the price of new sets is coming down dramatically. Lastly, the new sets have better picture, longer lasting circuits and better features.

Hope this is a good solution for you.

thanks for your questions.
