Then extract
and replace the exe fiel with the game exe file which is located in C:/program files/Ea sports/ Nba 2k11
Replace it and Play the Game..
Well first of all this means that when it was saving (automatically i assume) you either turned off the console or went to dashboard. there is nothing you can do past this point... you have damaged the file. sorry.. but you have to wait for it to finish saving

You must have scratched the disk. A quick fix to this is taking non-whitening toothpaste not gel and rubbing it on the read side of your disk. Let it sit for 5 minutes then take a very damp tissue and rub off the tooth paste. I cannot emphasize the importance of using a very damp piece of tissue. This is just a quick fix.
Remember:
1.Toothpaste not gel
2.Rub it on the read side not the label side.
3.Let sit for 5 minutes.
4.Rub off with a very damp piece of tissue.
Some video stores offer a resurfacing for a couple of dollars the other option would be to borrow or rent a copy of the game download it to your XBOX harddrive and then your disc should read long enough to get the access to game.
After a while of play, the game may become scratched, perhaps by misuse or even by the drive. Here are some fixes: 1.Try using a soft cloth to and rubbing alcohol to clean the disc 2.Put the disc in boiling water for 5 minutes (Put a spoon through the hole) and leave it there, when you remove it, make sure you let it sit untouched 3.Buy an advertised "DVD Scratch Fixer or Cleaner" 4.If none of the above works make sure it is not your dvd drive, or you disc may have been too damaged to repair.
I just had the same problem this morning and I searched for solutions and I got nothing. So, here's what I did. I simply placed the game in, get it to the point of "checking HDD space" and let it sit. The game isn't frozen because you can see the dots moving after the word "space" I did that at 8:00 this morning. Left the house for about 2 hrs, came back and it was working. So all I can say is be patient, let it check the HDD space for as long as it needs. Hopes this helps!
