The radio in my 1995 jeep grand cherokee plays full volume on the right channel when turned on.

  1. bad radio amp
  2. bad wiring to speakers.
  3. or bad speakers.
the tests are easy, ask.
my guess is the weak side is bad, the load side is ok.
you can turn the volume down on the load side using volumn control
if yes that side is ok, fix weak side.

ask how, but make sure the wiring in all 4 corners are not damage
and at both ends of harness.

Only tweeters are working while playing radio. No other speakers are working. ...radio operates normally, turn on , cd, all options work. What could this be? It's a 2006.

all speakers r connected to the same wires on the radio
If left/right balance and front/rear fader work properly
and sound is coming out it is likely (but not definite) radio is ok and speaker wiring is the issue.
HOWEVER, if it sounds the same on both left and right, it could be the radio. It is unlikely both sides have the same issue at the same time without it being in the radio.
The only way to verify it to disconnect the speaker and substitute a known good speaker.
So back to troubleshooting.

DOES THE RADIO PLAY? HERE ARE THE FACTORY WIRING COLORS FOR THE RADIO HARNESS, RECHECK YOUR WORK. IF U FIND NOTHING THEN IF THE RADIO PLAYS THE CD PLAYER IS DEFECTIVE, IT HAPPENS BELIEVE ME.
