Depending on the age of the T/W hold code and press either X or L the lang should be on it in green.

I have a Wheelwriter 6 and the Lang light is on, (I don't know what I did) How do I get it off?

I believe you push the language key while holding down the code key or just push the language key by itself.

To print in a different language, your best option is to get a printwheel that contains your preferred languages special characters. You can see a list of them here:

The Wheelwriter 30 is typing different letters than we are submitting. I have checked and the language key has not been initiated.

If the lang light on the right isn't on then you must have a keyboard problem but you can try thus.
Turn the T/W off, remove the batteries, wait for 30 seconds, try it. This reset everything to defaults.

When trying to type on typewriter, I am getting different letters than what I typed.

You may be in the language mode, the lang light will be lit in the R. side Code "L" will turn it off.
If that's not the problem Hold the code, press and hold the "L" key, release the code type 001, release the "l" key this will force the T/W into USA keyboard. If that solves the problem your keyboard is failing. Contact Goe. Beyers Co. @ 800-392-8085.

Olympia typewriter changing Language

It is "unlikely" that the machine contains both English and Arabic languages...not enough room in the memory plus keytops would be different for the 2 languages.
