Wirless works for the netwoek but cannont connect laptops or i pods. they pick up the router but every password showing on the set up pages denies access

The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings. To connect to your wireless router, it needs the router'swireless settings configured ie SSID, WPA or WPA2 encryption key and also thewireless cards in all the laptops and or computers needs to be configured withthese router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktop computers cancommunicate with your wireless router.

I have a belkin G wireless router 802.11g i try to connect the ipod touch it show that its there i click on it and it says unable to join the network. whats going on?

Hello
Your going to need the wireless code from your router, also called a wep code.

Once you obtain this code you need to put it into your i pod touch under network settings.

Here is a link to belkin that explains it

Trying to connect new i pod touch to internet and i have forgot the password for the Belkin wireless router. how can i get round this?

WIRELESS SECURITY ISSUES

Step 1 : Connect Router - Computer ( Wired)

Step 2 : Open Router Setup by typing http://192.168.2.1 on the address bar of internet explorer

Step 3 : On the Left under wireless Click Security

Step 4 : If it asking for a password leave that blank and click submit

Step 5 : On this Page you can find the WPA Key ( If it is a bunch of dots then Uncheck "OBSCURE PSK " )

If the Security Mode is WEP then the Key one will be your password

I have Belkin N150 Wireless Router installed. I can connect my laptop to it. When I tried my PS3 and I pod Touch and enter the same password but still it can't connect..guys, help me please..tnx

You have to allow these device to connect via MAC address ( Media Access Control) or set an IP.
This is done in the router. Check your router instructions for game settings.
Setting the router firewall game allowance or device is possibly where you are have an issue.

I have just brought a i pod touch . its asking for belkin54g password ... i no dont have a password for it ..... or the router can u please help me thanks

Take a computer and connect it via an Ethernet cable to the router.

From that computer, access the router's built-in web-interface,
as per the instructions that came with the router.

Run the router's "Wireless Setup Wizard" to set a password for your wireless network.

Belkin F5D8233-4 router & I pod touch wifi

What I would try is while the wifi is unsecure go on the computer and open up the browser you are using, on your router the default ip address is 192.168.2.1moz-screenshot.jpg

type the router default ip address in the browser where you would normally type a web address www.google.com

Logging into the Router
You will see the Router’s home page in your browser window. The home page is visible to any user who wants to see it. To make any changes to the Router’s settings, you have to log in. Clicking the
“Login” button or clicking on any one of the links on the home page will take you to the login screen. The Router ships with no password entered. In the login screen, leave the password blank and click the
“Submit” button to log in.
Configuring the Wireless Network Settings
The “Wireless” tab lets you make changes to the wireless network settings. From this tab you can make changes to the wireless network name or Service Set Identifier (SSID), operating channel, encryption security settings, and configure the Router to be used as an access point.
Setting up an Allow Access List
1. Select the “Allow” radio button (1) to begin setting up a list of
computers allowed to connect to the wireless network.
2. Next, in the “MAC Address” field that is blank (3), type in the
MAC address of the wireless computer you want to be able to
access the wireless network, then click “<<Add” (4).
3. Continue to do this until all of the computers you want to add
have been entered.
4. Click “Apply Changes” (5) to finish.

this will allow only the wireless device you select to access your router.
