My brother bought a Weedeater Featherlite Plus Fl26 and lost the operators manual. He says it is a Dual String weedeater and he has to have 2 strings, not 1 to make it work properly. I think it needs only 1 string but has to be loaded properly! What do I/We do??

It is either the tether or the non-return that lets air in, but doesn't let gas out. Most parts are obsolete.

I would start by emptying out all the old fuel,then pull the recoil several times to clear the carburetor. Then add fresh oil/gas mix,should be 40:1 which is 3.2oz of two cycle oil to one gallon of gas. Also check the fuel line and primer line for good connection to the carb. and make sure the spark plug is good.

replaced fuel lines on sear weedeater and primer button still acts like it is suching against a vacume. push it in and it won`t release. this unit in same as my featherlite carb and tank. What do I look for line are not restricted, but car not drawing fuel?????

Clockwise closes needle, Counter clockwise opens needle. Set both needle to 1 1/2 turns open, then fine tune from there.
