Question about Mitsubishi VS-55707 TV

1 Answer

Power I recently moved my tv upstairs and in the process something happened. Now when I turn the tv on, the green power light at the face of the tv turns on, there is a click like the tv is coming on and then everything shuts down within 3 seconds. Any ideas?

The tv probably has a loose solder joint or broken or cracked circuit board due to moving

If the TV does not stay on, press the POWER button on the control panel for at least eight seconds to perform System Reset. The TV will turn off. Power on the TV and the green LED will flash quickly for about one minute. The changes you made most recently, before using SYSTEM RESET, may be lost. If this happens frequently, obtain an AC line power conditioner/surge protector.

An unusual digital signal may have been received, triggering a protection circuit. Wait for the light to stop flashing and turn TV on.

Momentary power fluctuation caused the TV to turn off to prevent damage. Wait for the green light to stop flashing and turn the TV on again

I have a Sharp Aquos 32D64U and for some reason it is not powering up. The power light and the ORC light are flashing green but never get to a solid. I called Sharp and they say that pattern is something...

This tv i have one too a Sharp Aquos 46" inches, happen to me alot of times.Power light and OPC light flashes together. This problems is the tv Tuner board have problems and the causes, but this tv is still useable.Every times Power light and ORC light are flashing just push the power button again wait some times the tv backlight will come up and have picture work right away.Sometimes Power light and ORC light will flashes again.U have to this process sometimes 3 or 4 to it tv to work. Not sure long this process will last, but my opinion if u have to do it like 10 or 12 times. The tv Tuner signal board is on last leg, should be replaced.

I moved our computyer from downstairs to upstairs.

Power supply is bad,,

You can try to unplug the main motherboard plug, then plug back in,, It should last as long as it stays pluged into the wall.

Keep it pluged in when you do this,,

Is their a speaker or something electronic or electrical near the tv? Move it away, if there is, and see what happens.

Red light on display not green as usual no power

Hold down the "input" button and "volume -" button while the MAIN POWER BUTTON IS OFF. Then turn on the main power button while those are held down, the light on the tv & avc box will turn green. When it turns green, immediately let off the 2 buttons and press "volume +" button, then press the "Main Power" button. Next step is to repeat the process about 20-40 times & the TV WILL WORK!. I have read that this may have something to do with the energy star compliant commands that can changed through the serial port.
The above is from psxpirate25. Thanks!
I had to repeat the whole process a couple of times to get rid of the factory setup firmware mode. Do it 40 times, I would mess up the sequence a couple of times. Keep trying, it does work.
