Question about Samsung Printers & Copiers

1 Answer

Black Toner not adhering to paper on CLP500. The machine has been a permanent problem since I have had it. I thought of dumping it, but was willing to give it once last chance. Purchased New Drum, Transfer system and Toners, which is why I am annoyed. Incidentally I regularly have the Waste toner full problem, when it is actually empty, but gather this is a well known problem and know how to fix it.Cannot believe it was shipped with such an elementary error.

Are you using any special king of paper? Is there ink on the paper or is it printing poorly to begin with. Do you have a picture of a piece of paper that has been printed on that you could post here. If so, please post it. Will be waiting for your response to my questions

Make sure that the printer is set properly for the weight of the paper. If it is 28 pound laser color paper, set it up for middle thick, etc., in (User Tools / System Settings / Tray Paper Settings). It will run the machine slower, so the toner will more fully melt and adhere to your paper.

I have Avery Gloss labels for laser printers and have a Ricoh laser printer. The black toner is adhering to the labels and the other colours are not

Look to your menu for a paper setup and find the one for label or card stock and choose that. Thicker paper or labels require more heat to fuser the toner to the media.

Had a paper jam and was printing a total black

Three suggestions for you
1- check your toner cartridge, might be empty, totaly black page will use enough toner for about 200 normal pages worth of toner,
2- did you use a cleaning solution on the drums? if you did then you could be facing a slippery drum, as in the toner will not adhere to the drum long enough for it to print. You are going to have to wait untill you print enough to wear this layer of cleaning solution off.
3- some printers and i think yours is one of them use a type of print film in the system. Not sure how or what this film does, but if it is not put back in place or it is fed into the unit wrong , then your printer will not print,

That's it for my ideas. Hope one of them works for you.

The toner is not adhering to the page. If you wipe your finger on the printed page the toner brushes off

You need to replace the fusing unit. This is the part that gets hot just before the paper exits the machine. It "fuses" the toner onto the paper. Strange that you are not getting a fuser code if it is not heating up. You may have lost the fusing pressure somehow.

Dell 3110cn Color Laser Printer Certain colors will not adhere to the page when printed on heavy paper. Combination of green/black wipes off the paper when rubbed.

Either the paper is just too thick for the printer to fuse the toner correctly, or you've NOT selected the right paper type (in the printer driver options.

If you're just printing that same as you would on ordinary A4 paper, the fuser can't get enough heat through the thick paper to fuse the toner.

May be a wrong toner problem if you've done this successfully before, but only had this problem since changing toner cartridge(s)

The toner of the printed document does not adhere quite well on the paper. Wipping wich the pand over the paper the toner will come off partly. I thought it was a problem of the toner, however after buying...

If you've been using Okidata original cartridges then it sounds like there's something wrong with the fuser unit in your printer. The fuser is what heats the paper to "melt" the toner onto the page. If you haven't been using Okidata cartridges, the one you purchased could either be laying down too much toner or low quality toner that can't be properly adhered to the page.

I have a Ricoh 2232c - ? to install blk developer unit

Press "clear/stop" button, then "1" then "0" then "7" then press and hold "clear/stop" button for ~ 3 seconds. This sequence has to be completed within 5 seconds. This will get you into SP mode. (Don't mess with any other settings in SP mode because this could damage the machine). Now, you will need to navigate to SP5 area, then scroll thru until you find 999 (5-999) Good luck.

Toner does not adhere to paper

You have got a warped fuser this is the hot thing that cooks the toner onto the paper. Your best trying to locate a fuser unit for the machine this will solve your problem.
