Just bought an acer aspire notebook. When I try to open the crystal eye webcam I get a message "camera not found". I have downloaded drivers from acer website - still no camera found. The webcam does not appear in device manager. Acer suggest I take the machine back to factory settings but I don't really want to do that. I have downloaded yawcam to check the camera but it can't find it either. Any suggestions please.

Also remember that anytime you are installing or downloading software, you need to turn off all other running proggys including your internet security/virus control. Your firewall may easily corrupt an install. Just be sure to turn it back on when you are finished.
