Re: bluescreen problem - system restarts
Try to remember the last thing you installed and uninstall it; or a driver update, as this will be more than likely a corrupt driver, possibly a graphics driver, if you can restore your pc to an earlier date in system tools and it should stop the problem, and next time see what updates your pc does and you may find the culprit

bsod or blue screen of death is commonly occured because viruses for almost all new computer, we cannot specifically determine the cause of it by a software or any other method but we can find if the causes of it is virus or hardware failure in installing fresh operating system and use it and observed it wiyhout installing any application other than anyi virus.
The Blue Screen of Death (also known as a stop error, BSoD, bluescreen, or Blue Screen of Doom) is a colloquialism used for the error screen displayed by some operating systems, most notably Microsoft Windows, after encountering a critical system error that can cause the system to shut down to prevent irreversible damage to the system's integrity. It serves to present information for diagnostic purposes that was collected as the operating system issued a bug check.
Could you please provide me the exact error message? However to stop the system shutdown first follow these steps. Disable automatic system restart. 1.Restart the computer and press the f8 key to open the Advanced Boot Options menu. 2.Select the Disable automatic restart on system failure option. 3.Restart the computer to accept this change.
Then go to safe mode This problem occurs after a memory dump file (error log file) is written by Windows XP. Because the memory dump file flag not reset in Windows XP the memory dump file will contiue to be written every time Windows is restarted.
1.Restart the computer and immediately press f8 repeatedly. Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode and then press enter . 2.Click Start , right-click Computer , and then select Properties . 3.Click Advanced system settings , grant permission to continue if prompted, and then click the Advanced tab. 4.On the Advanced tab, click Settings
In the Virtual Memory section, click Change .
For Paging file size for selected drive, click No Paging File , and then click Set .
Click Yes after the following warning appears:
If the paging file on volume X: has an initial size of less than xx megabytes, then the system may not be able to create a debugging information file if a STOP error occurs. Continue anyway? (X is the drive letter and xx is the amount of RAM installed on your computer minus 1 megabyte.)
Click System Managed Size .
Click OK four times to return to the Windows Desktop Screen and then restart.
For more information plz check the below doc from HP. I hope this will definitely resolve your issue. If not plz get back with the exact error message so I can give you better solution on this. If you find this helpful then Plz vote for me..Dreamkam
This is usualy called "BDOD" as in "Blue Screen Of Death", more exactly a blue screen containing some error codes, some description of what was going on when it ocurred and a restart signal. You can't see the blue screen for more then a split second because by default the computer is set to restart automaticaly when these errors occur.
Mostly these errors appear as a result of a software modification that alters how windows executes a certain system file. It's actually hard to figure out what does the error means as long as you can't see it. However you could try running an older version of the windows core system registry by System Restore, if you have it enabled (it's on by default). By this we hope to restore the registry to a state prior to this problem.
You can do this by pressing F8 key when the computer is booting up, just before the windows logo appears (or that green bar in vista). When pressed at the right time, this key will bring up a menu on wich you would need to select "most recent settings that worked" or similar - depending on your windows version.
This will instruct windows to load some older registry configuration, one that worked in the past. If you still receive the same error, you could try booting in Safe Mode (again, press F8 but this time select "safe mode") and try unninstalling recent installed aplication, because maybe one of them is causing your problem.
If these steps woun't work, the only clean way to solve the problem would be to reinstall Windows along with your other software programs.
There is apatch for this at www.dell.com that you need to download in order to provent the blue screen of death as I call it. There is no other fix but going to dell.com under the support sections and downloading the firmware upgrade.
There are following reason to occuring this problem :-
1>Some files are your operating system has been currepted
2>Ram is faulty
Trouble shooting steps :-
1>>> Restart your machine and press F8 (4-5 times )after system logo and goto in safe mode and play your system in safe mode 30 min and check it .
2>>> Restart your machine press delete and go to setup (blue color screen would be apear ) after that press key F9 after that its asking for yes or no you need to press y after that press F10 and after that save and exit .
And after that your machine would be restart and check it
>>> If your problem problem has been solved then well n good if it same then need to replace RAM .
