Image size: Press the FUNC/SET button. Use cursor-up/down to select the current image size at the lower-left corner. Use cursor-right/left to select the desired size and press FUNC/SET.

File size (compression): Same as above, except choose the item just above the image size.

Full instructions are in the "Changing the Recording Pixels/Compression (Still images)" section of the manual (page 57 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at

How to I attach a photo taken on the phone to an email - gmail?

set up a dropbox on a p.c then put same dropbox on phone. then upload the file to dropbox and then access it on p.c's dropbox. Then open file in pcpaint and resize photo down in size to get the size within gmail allowed file size and save file.

size of file will be the issue you might be able to reduce the resolution of the camera to take photos of the file size.gmail can handle.

How do i get a picture the right size to fit on my social media page?

Hi,
if you have a photo in jpeg format then it is possible to save it in jpeg format too but changing the parameter "JPEG quality factor" from 100% to 80% for example. The pixels of photo will be the same but the size smaller. I usually use Microsoft Photo Editor application on my Windows PC:
1- open file
2- save as ...
3- choose jpeg format
4- press button "more"
5- change jpeg quality factor %
6- press save

Bye

I have a datatraveler 4gb stick how many photo will it hold

That is not exactly to calculate. It depends on the stored image sizeand quality.
Small pictures could be 400KB a piece, but large ones easily can go up to 6GB
a piece. If you know thye avaerage size of your pictures, you can calculate it.

I bought a technika jp07 photo frame but when i put the sd card in it comes up no playable file. i tried the same sd card in another photo frame and it works fine. please help mrs bev bartram

It seems that it's not about the size of file or resolution of the photo!

I was given one of these yesterday. I copied my photos on to a 64mb SD card of unknown make. They display fine on my PC but on my Photo Frame I get the "no playable file" message. I tried changing file size etc but no good.

As a last resort I copied my same photos on to a 2GB SanDisk SD card and tried that. It works fine. So my guess is that these photo frames are picky on what SD card they'll accept.

A pity the manual doesn't tell you so!

Photo size too large for email

You can do that in 2 ways.

1) Shoot the photo or video in reduced size (less quality). This can achieved by adjusting the settings in your camera.

2) Use 3rd party software like photoshop or Microsoft paint to manually reduce the size using it.

Change Resolution

Okay this file size is very small and even if you could chage the settings on your camera to the lowest , I'm sure the filesaize will still eb too large.
What to do is use a photo editing program such as adobe or maybe even something else you can get for free. when saving the image you will be able to enter the image size or select what quility, the lower the quality the lower the file size.
To check the file size of an image just right click on it and go down to properties, remember 1mb is equal to 1024kb
Hope this helps

Sending photos as an e-mail attachment

When sending photos as e-mail attachments, the image (file) size should not be too large. Use the included image viewing program called Image Expert to save photos in reduced size. For instructions on installing Image Expert, see "Installing the image viewing program" on page 42 of the Instruction Manual. 1. Launch Image Expert. 2. Choose "Open Image" from the "File" menu. 3. Specify the image you want to reduce, then click "Open". If the camera is connected using the USB cable, it is displayed as a removable disc. images on the camera can be opened directly by specifying the remove-able disc. 4. Click on "Change Size" in the "Image" menu. 5. Input values at "Width" and "Height", then click "OK". If "Keep Aspect Ratio" is checked, the size is changed without changing the image’s vertical:horizontal ratio. 6. The image is displayed at its new size. 7. Click on "Save As" in the "File" menu to save the image with the new size.

How do I make an image file smaller so I can send it by e-mail?

To make an image file smaller for e-mail transmission, change the image file size in "Exif Viewer" or "FinePixViewer". Changing the size of an image file 1. Start up the Viewer and select the folder containing the image you wish to send. 2. Double-click the thumbnail for the image file you want to resize to open the image in its own full-size window. 3. Select "Image size" in the "Image" menu. 4. Set "%" as the "Unit" used for file size display. Then enter a value lower than 100 as the "Width" or "Height" and click the [OK] button. 5. Select "Save as" in the "File" menu to save the image. (You can also reduce the image file size by lowering the quality in "Save as type".)
