Hi,

If you want MS Office, then you need to purchase them from Microsoft.

Office is not a part of Vista, we have to install it separately.

For your information, 60days trail version MS Offiice will be available from Microsoft.

After 60 days again you have yo purchase full version MS Office.

If you don't want to buy, after every 60 days, you can try reinstall after another 60days.

Let me explain the procedure to download the trailversion MS Office:

Download and install the MS Office 2007 from the below link:

http://us1.trymicrosoftoffice.com/default.aspx?culture=en-US

After installing the Trail version MS Office from the above link, then you have to contact Microsoft to get the trail version MS Office key for 60 days.

You can request for trail key from the below URL:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/HA101759011033.aspx

Hope this will help you.

Please reply if you need further assistance on this.

--->> You could go through the long process of contacting Microsoft for retrieving your key or you can use these freeware utilities to get it in a second.

Magical Jelly Bean Key finder - is a freeware utility that retrieves your product key that was used to register your Windows operating system or Microsoft Office Suite. It works on Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Windows Vista, Office XP, Office 2003, and Office 2007.

Win key finder - is a website that offers several different freeware utilities to help you find not only your Office product key, but Vista's product key. Beware: they have reported bugs and are still in the process of being fixed, so the utilities are still not stable.

Rock X-P - is a freeware program that is specifically designed to retrieving your Windows X-P product key, but it will retrieve other Microsoft's product keys. It has received high ratings and it's recommended by many users.

Converting Microsoft Office 2007 to Full Version:

This requires that Microsoft Office 2007 has been installed without the product key in the first place.

Once Microsoft Office 2007 has been installed with no product key, proceed as follows:

1. In Windows Explorer, browse to the following folder:

C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft SharedOFFICE12Office Setup ControllerProof.en

2. Right click on Proof.XML file, select Open With in the right click menu.

3. In the Open With window, select Notepad to be used to open the XML file.
[Note: In Windows Vista, if you can't see the Notepad option, simply double click the "Other Programs" to unhide it.]

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the Proof.XML to locate the following lines:

<feature Id="SetupXmlFiles" Cost="1248′><optionref Id="AlwaysInstalled"/></feature>

5. Change the AlwaysInsalled to neverInstalled so that the line looks like following:

<optionref Id="neverInstalled"/>

6. Save the Proof.xml file.

[In Windows Vista, you may need to take ownership and grant full access permission to yourself before able to modify the file. We already have a detailed article on that. Here is the link to How to take Ownership of a File in Windows Vista]
