Question about Whirlpool Refrigerators
• Is the water tank frozen because the Refrigerator temperature is too low?
Try selecting a warmer setting on the main display panel. If the tank is getting cracked due to over freezing then either the temperature is set very high cooling or the defrost is not working properly, get the defrost checked. If too much ice gets collected in the freezer section, the internal parts gets over cooled and this cause freezing to some parts and they gets cracked.Other wise this eater tank parts are quite strong to function and work properly as well as last long.--------
Also click this link and check the tank wiring diagram:---
The wiring diagram on page number 37. Check the water tank heater wire.May be that heater wire is got loose and due to that water tank got over cooled and this cracked the tank.------
This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Hi,You will need to look at either the filter or water line too and from the filter housing for the leak. I have seen filters with flat spots on the "O" rings that will cause them to leak, even brand new out of the box.

The issue is with the water not draining as something might
be blocking the drain pump assembly thus the water is leaking. To solve this
issue you'll have to take the front lower access panel out and then clean the
drain pump assembly completely, also clean the impeller and chopper assembly
located at the bottom of the unit. After this is done the issue should be
resolved, if not then check the float switch mechanism and make sure that is
fine. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.
