I have the same problem as well. I also notice the perforated back wall of the dryer is discolored a brownish color. I've had this discoloration on several white shirts recently. It bleaches out but I'm concerned because it looks like scorch burn. There is also brown discoloration on the perforated back wall of the dryer. It doesn't wipe off with a wet cloth. Any ideas?

Your problem is a bad rear drum seal-if these become worn, torn, or missing close can get caught torn or discolored in the space between the clothes drum and rear of the dryer. Replace the rear drum seal.

I have a stackable washer and dryer the washer works but the dryer when I turn it on it starts and the drum starts to role then it cuts off and I can smell a burning smell I am so tired of washing clothes...

a number of things but first unhook the electricity and take the back off the dryer look for burnt wires ect... it can be plugged with trash lent ect clean out the dryer including the blower wheel housing follow the vent to the housing that is it. Also the next biggest culprit is the elect motor its self if its bad you can order one from the company that made it or a number of companys on line(they will be cheaper) good luck and replace your belt while you are in there.

Dryer spins but does not dry clothes

It may not be your heating element. Your dryer lint vent pipe out the back of the machine or maybe out the side may be plugged. You have to pull the machine out and clear that pipe or rebuild it out to a soffit vent or static vent if it is in the attic, or out through your crawl space. This will make a huge difference. If that hot air and moisture doesn't get out of the machine it just goes back into your clothes.
Good luck!!

White clothes come out of dryer with brown lines.

Run a rag along the inside drum seals to see if this is the source of the brown lines. Replace the front and rear drum seals. Part number is 280114.

It takes a long time to dry a load of clothes

sounds as if you may have an issue with a blocked/clogged ventin, perhaps wher it leaves the home, a unit that is not able to expell the heat will tend to not dry the clothes properly, 2-3x to dry a good sign of venting issue

Brown streak on clothes

Hi,

It could be from scorching due to getting too hot. This may be the start of a problem for you.

It is best to judge how long clothes need drying for before drying them. If they are left too long, sometimes the heat builds up.

Try a smaller load in there, and if you can reduce the temperature any then do.

Often it's just overloading is the issue.

Hope this is a solution for you, If so, Please rate as Fixya! Thanks.
