A lot of programs in widows 7 has stopped working

    Programs like Gom player and IE.
    When I try to open Gom player for example it says that it stopped working and when I click on "problem details" is shows this:

    Recently I've used Intel® Driver Update Utility and updated "Intel® 6, 5, 4, 3, 900 Series Chipsets" from "Intel® Chipset Software Installation Utility" as it said it needs updating for compatibility issues.

    Could this be the cause?

    Hi,

    Go on with the following steps:
    1. Start PC
    2. Hold down or press the F8 key frequently.
    3. Soon a text menu will appear.
    4. Select ( Last Known Good Configuration ), using down arrow key.
    5. then, Press Enter Key

You can purchase a recovery disk from the manufacturer for around $15 plus shipping. It will put your system back to original factory settings. Please note that your settings, programs and data will no longer be there when you do this.

Unfortunately a lot of devices do not have Windows 7 drivers and some manufacturers are reluctant to provide these drivers for their older products.
Try going to the Belkin WEB site to see if there are Windows 7 drivers for your DVD creator.
THIS WORK AROUND MAY WORK.

I get no response from my Tascam US-144 and windows 7.

Go to program,look for tascam folder and adjust channel 1&2 to analog.This should make your music program work fine.And then do research on both analog and digital recording.

You will probably have to look on the net for a driver that is compatible with windows 7 for your bluetooth device. If you cant find one designed for windows 7 you could try a driver made for vista as many vista drivers work for windows 7 devices as well

Your problem is a little hard to say. Have there been any power outtages or has you computer been powered-off rather than the regular shut-down procedure. Windows registry and programs can be thus corrupted.

Also computer viruses can disrupt programs so please run for example
Mcafee's free online anti-virus to rule-out a virus problem.

Even if you have an anti-virus installed, it needs to be running the latest virus definitions.

You could also try in programs accesories system tools to select "system restore" and bring back your computer to a date where you understand the problem was not happening. (Try this one last)

Widows vista problem

Have you tried going to windows update and installing all the updates? Vista was released with a lot of bugs and Microsoft releases updates to fix these bugs on a regular basis. Let me know if this solves the problem or if you are not sure how to do this.
