Need restore disk plus for eee 4g surf

There is no restore disk, there's a hidden partition on the drive that you use to restore the computer.

Here's a link to your model, check out Asus's support page for help.

That link is for the linux version but if you go to the top left and search for "4g surf" you'll get an option for the XP version.

Hope this info helps.

Linux version won't upload software

Try Linux Ubuntu Version 10.04 for netbooks... Or the stable 9.10. You can easily create a bootable USB flash drive to test BEFORE fully installing.

you can install windows XP from a Pen Drive/Flash Drive provided that your motherboard supports booting from USB drives.

Further detailed instruction can be found here.

I've forgotten my password for Asus Eee PC 4g

One of the advantage of any Linux OS is its tough security. Im afraid you have to reprogram you machine so that you can use it,  . and then maybe later you run a File Recovery software so that you can latter on recover your important files.

To upgrade my Asus Eeepc 4G

The only way you can add space is for you to use an external HDD because an Eee PC has a built-in hard drive that cannot be upgraded.

Usb/sd

Try opening a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + T) and type sudo bash.
This should give you access to everything.
If this does not work then I am not too familiar with linux either so I probably cannot help.

Dial-up modem

I'm afraid that because it is linux if it does not recognise your device then it is unlikely that you can get drivers for it. i would recommend posting this problem on eeeuser.com and they might be able to help.
