My karcher 670MS will not turn on at all; no power. I dismantled the handpiece to see if it was blocked and may have reassembled it wrong also. It is just dead when I connect it to the power and water.

Did you check the GFCI on the plug to make sure it doesnt need resetting and is the plug live?

  • aviateur81 Jul 31, 2011

If water comes out of the lance (even low pressure water) and the power supply is good, the problem will be the pressure switch in the main pump body. Unless you're an engineer best take it to a repairer. The pump has to be separated from the motor housing, the switch plunger cleaned and probably the pump oil renewed while you're there - might be good to renew the seals too. Good machine when it's working tho...

Medicool 20k pro drill how to fix after 2 balls install?

If you have installed the ceramic balls in your Medicool 20K Pro Drill, and now it is not working, you may need to perform the following steps to fix it:
  1. Remove the handpiece from the control box.
  2. Unscrew the two small screws on the front of the handpiece.
  3. Gently remove the front cover of the handpiece.
  4. Remove the two ceramic balls from the spindle.
  5. Reassemble the handpiece by replacing the front cover and securing it with the screws.
  6. Reconnect the handpiece to the control box and test it.
If the drill still does not work, it may be a problem with the control box or another component. In that case, it may be necessary to contact the manufacturer or a professional repair technician for further assistance.

Karcher HDS745 pressure washer won't start. Power is confirmed to the cord. Won't make noise to lights.

A modern hot water pressure washer can have complex circuitry and it is a good idea to read the user instructions and have a diagram for reference when troubleshooting - certainly some dismantling will be necessary to trace the power rather further inside than the power cord.

If the unit hasn't been used for a time the pump could have frozen and have overloaded the motor when switched on - there is often a facility for the pump to be turned by hand to unfreeze the pump before switching on.

Where s the fuse karcher k2.180

I doubt there's an internal fuse other than in the plug fitted if it has one. Karcher don't expect you to dismantle anything to get at a fuse but if you go online to the main Karcher website check out the parts list this may help identify anything. If it doesn't start and there's no humming noise like the motors struggling to turn then you need an appliance dealer or engineer to check the electrical side. Be careful what you do, water and electricity are a dangerous combination. Check the likely cost of professional help though, it may be more than a replacement washer?

Satellita A40 problem

Your heatsink is probably blocked.

Many older laptops run HOT and will shut down very quickly if there is no ventilation.

You can check this by shining a flashlight into the fan vent and checking it's visible when looking in the heatsink vent (or vice versa)

You can dismantle the laptop to get the dust out.

OR

Or use a can of compressed air to blow through the heatsink grilles and dislodge the dust, followed by a vacuum cleaner nozzle over the fan intake to **** as much dust as possible back out of the machine.

It may take several blow/**** cycles to clear it entirely - don't be surprised to see enormous quantities of dust erupting from the fan vent when you first use the compressed air.

if you take the second option, don't dismantle the case and it's best to do this with the machine running.

Plastic vaccum cleaner nozzles carry a hefty static charge, but as long as it remains outside the case the components will remain protected and the area where the air runs through the case is entirely shielded from the rest of the machine.

If the vent isn't freely flowing air when you've tried a couple of cycles (check with a flashlight for airflow) then the machine will have to be dismantled and the dust removed manually (I've seen accumulated dust turn into 1/4 inch thick felt blocks in some laptops and have had to write off many laptops used by smokers as they had become a toxic health hazard.).

Dismantling a laptop is not a job for a novice as it is easy to damage electronic components with stray static electricity charges and plastic case components while pulling things apart It's also possible to wreck cases by overtightening or using wrong length screws when reassembling.
