Question about RIM BlackBerry 7290

1 Answer

Asking for a password when i hook it to comp.

I bought a used blackberry from another person and when i try to hook it up to my computer to reinstall the OS it asks me for a password, it says something about an IT policy. I asked the person and she said that she didn't put any password just the one for the keypad. What can I do to resolve this?

You can try to restore your Blackberry to factory settings by using a Java loader found here:

Youwill not be able to save the data on your phone. Try this at your ownrisk and ask someone for help if you are unsure about the process. Hopethat helped,

Reinstall your blackberry OS, some models need to reinstall their os after unlocked. If your unlocked blackberry 8820 still have same problem, bring that phone to nearest mobile repair shop and asking them to reflash your unlocked blackberry.

I have a blackberry curve 8530 that was locked.i used the wrong password to many times now it says softwear reload 513.what do I need to do to get my cell phone working again?

Hi,

Whenever it comes to unlock blackberry, I would always recommend to use reliable vendors so that you could avoid the technical difficulties in the future. For blackberry phones, I would recommend Blackberry Unlocking Codes with IMEI.

This vendor is highly reliable and provide CHEAPER unlocking codes. I have tried Blackberry unlocking codes with IMEI personally and found them very supportive and cost effective. I hope they would help you like they helped me.

Just enter the incorrect password x10 times and your Blackberry will be wiped. Your personal data will be gone, but you can then enter a new password and start again.

I forgot my password for when i turn on my blackberry 9700

Do whatever you can to remember it.  After a certain number of attempts, it will ask you to type in blackberry then give you a couple more attempts to get your password.

After the 10th attempt, if you get the password wrong, it will have you type in blackberry again and it will completely wipe your Blackberry of all your personal data and it will reload itself back to factory default.

If your password has numbers in it, make sure you are pressing the ALT button down to make sure you are typing in a number, or plug your Blackberry into the computer with Desktop Manager installed and attempt to type in your password using the computer keyboard.

Basically, this is a security measure in case someone gets a hold of your Blackberry and attempts to break in to get your personal information.  RIM Blackberry does NOT have your password, so unfortunately a RIM tech support agent cannot retrieve your password.

Hopefully you have created a backup of your Data using the Desktop Manager, so if you cannot remember your password and the device wipes itself, you can restore your data from the backup with the Desktop Manager

I bought the toshiba computer today and it was the display model but when I go to turn it on it is asking for a password and have no clue what it is

Sounds like some clown at the place you bought it from password protected it.People play on those computers and someone enabled the password protect. The business you bought it from will need to get it removed for you.Next time you post, include your computer name ,model ,and operating system. There are a few ways around password protection, but we need to know what you have for an OS to be able to help.

I need a free code to unlock my blackberry pearl

On all the Blackberries i have seen - the password if you get it wrong ten times it just deletes all the personal data on it and resets it to the operator defaults.

so if you havent had a chance to use it much because its locked out, just keep typing the reset password wrong, type blackberry when it tells you too, and keep trying until it says Wiping Handheld.

Forgot password blackberry curve 8310

I think all you can do it reset the device to disable the password completely. If you enter the password ten times incorrectly it will ask if you want to do a complete reset.

THIS WILL DELETE ALL YOUR PERSONAL DATA.

If you can, back up your device using the Blackberry Desktop Manager application before doing a reset. Then you can re-load all your personal data after the reset, instead of having to type it all in again.

Phone locked & forget the password

No, this problem needs resetting at a dealers. The unit needs connecting to a computer with the right software.

If it really yours then you should go to your dealer with the appropriate id or proof of purchase.
